Shoes For Holiday Work Pary

[ Edited ]

Ladies this is such a problem for me....I have the outfit put together.  Shopped my closet as that was the goal....wearing black ankle length pants (pencil)....a short black sparkle jacket (it is the kind that comes to your waist and is open front) a winter white v-neck top (is about 6 inches longer then jacket).  Picked out some nice jewelry to really glam it up or sparkle it up.

But the shoes!!!! OMGoodness....I have plantar faciitis in both feet and pointy dress shoes are out of the question.  I can't tolerate them.  I have a pair of black sparkly sandal shoes that look very nice with it and I can somewhat tolerate them.  But they are sandals and it's freezing cold and who knows what it will be doing this coming Saturday.

I tried a clarks artisan leather ankle boot and it doesn't look horrible but those boots are to high and to narrow.  This party is at a casino....so I am thinking lot's of standing and walking around.

As you can tell from my post I don't go out to semi formal events very often.  What do ladies wear on their feet to parties like this?  I wasn't going to wear a dress....I need to be comfortable and warm and this out fit covers that but the stupid shoes!!

I would like to wear these vionic sandals and not care what anyone thinks...I have them in the gray and they are very comfortable.  I could get them in black.

Bad idea?? stick with the ones I have??

Ideas??

Thanks for listening

EDIT: UPDATED....problem solved on page 4 posted my update!!

Have you thought about ballet style slippers?

@tsavorite , whatever you wear, please be comfortable.  Can you find a rounder toed flat shoe?  We worry so much about what to wear.  I am sure no one would deny you comfort but I wouldn't wear at open sandal at this time of year, at least whereI live.  I would be worried that I would slip.  LM

I have never found a pair that were comfortable and have arch support.

Oh good....that's what I truly want to wear a covered shoe....I will check what I have in closet but most are just uncomfortable.  I do have a shoe stretcher....perhaps I can get them to work for me.  That would solve the problem.

I am just not up for the sandals and high heels in life anymore....and in this weather no way!

They are a bad choice for someone with plantar fasciitis, which requires a strong arch support. They can work if you're able to get an orthotic in there, but I've found that most ballet flats don't really have the room for one.

Can you wear a shoe or boot that covers your foot to get into the casino & then change into the Vionic sandals? I've done that & checked them with my coat. Enjoy the party.
