I have heavy Landsend jacket with a hood ( very handy ) and 1 London Fog classic trench without.  With the LF I use a large silk scarf, folded triangle and tie ends behind my neck.  Works like a charm and way prettier than old style plastic hats.

Don't ask me why I bought it cuz it makes no sense to me not to have a hood to protect me from the rain since I don't own/wear hats....and the days of my mom's little foldable plastic rain bonnet seem to be gone.

Not keen on having a soaked head at my desk all day!

Oh how we teased my mom & gram about their plastic rain bonnets!  LOL

They both had 'helmet' hair dos and NO way were they letting the rain ruin it!

I remember my step mother wrapping toilet tissue around her hair to protect the helmet!  No one could do those styles themselves!

I definitely want a hood on my raincoat. If my hands are full  with other things, then it comes in very handy. My hooded raincoat got lots of wear when I taught school. I was always lugging so many things in and out of the building in all kinds of weather. The hood was essential! I don't like carrying around umbrellas anyway.

Yes, I want a hood.  I don't own a raincoat or trench.  Only a leather trench which I would not wear on a rainy day.

I'm gonna get myself a Helly Hansen slicker.  It has to have a hood!
