Re: Polyester and more polyester

I actually buy a lot of cotton in QVC, Logo and Isaac Mizrahi offer a lot of cotton, cotton modal/blends, and Women with control and Denim & Co. offer a lot of cotton with a little bit of spandex blends.  If I hang to dry these cotton pieces after washing, there is very little if any ironing to do.

I like the cotton/poly/others blend in jeans and other pants because it gives them durability. Without poly, I wear pants out faster, tops less so, but they are also less durable than poly blends.

Overall, I like cotton rich fabrics because of their breathability.  I find poly hot, but I used to buy a good amount of poly/span to wear to work because it looked better after the commute than cotton, it always looks good if you buy good looking styles, and the sweat doesn't show and dries fast without trace if it does,  It also doesn't stain as easily.  Logo's durable cotton tops (I don't know what finishing is done to them, but I do find them more durable than all other cotton) are unfortunately not suitable for work for me.

I'll wear casual poly blends in the winter because of their warmth, durability, and stain resistance.  I don't wear all poly, or poly span except for work clothes as I previously described, because I just don't find it breathable, comfortable.

But I fully understand why others do.  A lot of designers clothes are poly.  Poly is a much better fabric than what it was at the beginning.

Poly and poly blend and synthetic is way cheaper so that's why the companies are all going to them!

I used to get the nicest sleepwear that was a nice cotton and cotton blend and for really good prices.  Now, it's all this poly junk that retains the heat and moisture and picks easily.  I hate it!  If you do find cotton and cotton blend, it's so darn expensive, you can't even afford it!

Same thing with clothing!

@AngelPuppy1 I find lots of nice inexpensive cotton and cotton/blend sleepwear in Amazon.  Just make sure to check the size chart, and garment fabric after making size and color selection.  Sometimes the fabric composition changes with the color.  And sizing is not like QVC or in any way uniform across styles.

There aren't any fibers that I write off completely.  But there are some "fabrics" (fabrications???) that I won't wear.

I don't mind that some things have to be hand washed and dried flat, or if something needs to be ironed.

MHO is QVC is buying less quailty products selling at steep price points to cover all the costs of recorded streaming programs. Wish the quality value convenience of old live shows was the norm.
