For some reason, this reminds me of something that Katie Holmes would wear.

I like the colors, but I am not a "pleat" person.

Define 'polished'

As it relates to this photo...

I would say that it is streamlined, tailored, not necessarily "everyday" wear but something that could be elevated or dressed up with accessories.

You can always consult @ALRATIBA 's thread for other people's definitions.  Cat Indifferent

This is not directed at you, as you do start threads, but I get tired of those who respond to every thread with only negative comments enumerating the laundry list of things that they do NOT like but never offer a photo or start a thread of things that they DO like.

It makes the forums a bit glass half empty after a while.  I don't love EVERY thing that I find, but I post them to share with others who I think it might interest.

I can post a thread with the clear title "polka dots..." or "striped sweater" and the same people will post only to say that they hate polka dots or stripes aren't flattering. What is the point?  The title is clear before they open the post, so then it seems a bit DD.

I have the same complaint about the negative Nellys! And if you're such an individual that hates trends and takes no inspiration from anyone then why are you bothering with the fashion board?!
Quit your kvetching and show us what you do like!

I know what you mean, I liked the color combo too.

I think the outfit is well put together and lovely!  I especially like the jacket and would love to have it in my wardrobe, so appealing!

@AuntG

Totally agree.

@wilma

Please post a polished spring look that you would wear. Cat Happy

@lolakimono

Here’s one from items already my closet. I wear this often in Spring & Summer. The Sak handbag is new this year.

JCrew skirt (bought at consignment shop)

Talbots tee

Jellypop flats

Sak handbag

I don’t remember where the necklace came from
