I am moving to Ohio from Florida -yes, I know! - and my wardrobe needs to tune into cold weather. All the open front cardigans are attractive but do not work for full busted women like me. The garment would hang well away from my bust line. I'm only commenting because a large percentage of the cardigans I see are open front. While I realize I am in a small group of your customer base it just seemed like something I should point out. I am a fan of Susan graver but saw only a tiny few that would work for me. Thanks for the opportunity to comment.

I have a couple of them and our winters last around half the year, so I really can't wear them. But I have to say that I am SO sick of seeing open front sweaters that I've taken my Irish wool button down sweaters and they have come in very handy. But I'm done with open front cardigans and will be donating what I have.....

@vivarita I agree, I do not purchase open front cardigans, I either want a belt, button or toggle.

You should probably look for cardgans that have shaping darts or ties/elastc at the waist.
If you google "cardigans for curvy women images" you'll see some styles that look pretty good.

Welcome @vivarita.
QVC does sell a few sweaters that button down the front.
Here's an Aran Craft. I wouldn't wear it this fitted, though.

@vivarita I've gotten a couple cardigans the past year from Denim & Co. which are not open, they have buttons, and they're not full-length. Much more flattering. My sister in PA. won't buy something the weight of a long sweater or jean jacket as she says there are too few times she can wear them. It's always too hot or cold.

All of my cardigans & a few of my hoodies are open front, they work great for me. All the best with your move @vivarita.

@vivarita Don't know where you are moving to in Florida but here is how I feel about sweaters here.
When it is chilly enough for a sweater, we usually have a North wind that is cold. It goes right through a sweater!
I have some of the pima cotton cardigans from Isaac and they work for me or a closed fabric jacket. JMO!
Welcome to Florida! Enjoy!

@vivarita Don't feel alone. I won't buy open front cardigans either. I bought a couple of them a few years ago and never again. They are decorative for people who stand around. Can't walk with an open sweater unless I have free hands to hold it in place. Usually I need the hands to carry a bag, open doors, hold on to stair railings...
