SO often I have found clothing on QVC that I love. However, I am SHORT, and I'm sure there are many others out there like me. I am never able to find a top or pants that are truly short - any brand! I would still have to cut 3" off of a 28" inseam on pants. Tops / tunic tops are another story. Some could be dresses on me, and I sometimes would need to cut 5-6" off. Please fashion designers, consider us truly short people. And as Jeanne Bice (Quacker Factory) said: short is not the same as petite. Even plus sizes can be short, but plus size tops are longer than missy tops - why? Please, start making some truly short clothing for us shorties.

@AddictedtoQ I don't even look any more because they have so few petite/short sizes.

I'm also short and find it very frustrating when they don't offer a petite top or coat.
As for pants, ankle length have been very popular the last few years and if you get a pair of petite ankle pants, it might be the right length for you. The inseam on them tends to be 25"-26".

I feel your pain but in the opposite direction. I am tall and have had a problem all my life finding pants long enough. DD and GD have the same problem. But we are special as my mom used to say and you are too!

@AddictedtoQ QVC sells many tops and most pants in petite sizes which are shorter. They are going to sell sizes for which there are many buyers. I can't stand the "short" size Quacker Factory sells and many people like me who wear petites can't stand them because the waistband comes up to meet the bra band.
Most pants, unless there's a fancy hem treatment, are very easy to hem.

I'm pretty sure there are plenty of places to shop for short and tall items. Why depend on QVC???

This is a timely discussion for me. I can not tell you how tired I am of not being able to find the proper length in pants and jeans for myself. It's not just the Q either. Many have decided that Petite lengths should now be 30 inches. I refuse to buy it. If I buy it, I will have to cut off 2 inches of fabric. As I get older, I'm getting even shorter and a 28 inch inseam is very doable right now.
Don't these manufacturers know that not everyone is 5'4 and over? Petite alone won't cut it anymore. Under the category of Petite should be Petite then Petite short. As it is, Petite cut garments are usually cut smaller than regular sized garments. Why bother with a 30 inch inseam for those of us who need to wear a 27 1/2 or 28 inch inseam?

@mspatmac that's all I'm seeing now. Petite has become 30 inch inseam, regular inseam has become 32 inch inseam and taller is 33 or 34 inch inseam. They are spreading it around, but the missed us shorter than petite folks. Check out Nordie's and Bloomies and check the inseams you'll find. The lengths are now in your favor!!!!!

@Kachina624 for jeans I like to keep the bottom seam. So, no I won't be hemming those. I take them to a tailor. I don't even trust myself to cut off 2-3 inches cleanly to hem a pair of jeans. No one should have to do that.

@kaydee50 It really is beginning to be just the opposite. That's what I'm finding when I surf the net at my favorite stores. The lengths have changed.

NYDJ pants 32 inches.

Vince Camuto Wide leg trouser 32 inch inseam

Madewell jeans classic 31 inch inseam

JAG Jeans Corduroy pants
30 inch inseam. I love this color. Would buy. If I have to have it sewn professionally then the cost of the pants is more than I'm willing to pay. They lose a sale.
