Re: Models Wearing Clothing Too Small

I think when the models and the host wear sizes that are to small it takes away from the garment they are trying to model and sell. I feel like they should show the clothing to the best advantage and what it will really look like if you purchase it in your correct size. I have never cared about what size I wear only that it fits and looks good when I get it on. If I need a twelve or a large then that is what I need. They have different size models and they should use that to their advantage to show how the clothing will really look on in whatever size the model really wears.

Much of the time the models and hosts are obviously wearing clothes 1-2 sizes too small.

Just because you can get it on does not mean it fits! Or that you should wear it!

One or two hosts (I think on HSN) will mention to size down to get the look of one model (spray-painted on look) and stick to regular or size up to get the look of another model. But much/most of the time they all wear a size too small.

I always feel badly for Jacqui, the large model because she rarely gets to wear the correct size.  Those in charge put her in too tight clothing most times.

I get the impression the designers would prefer the models and hosts wear their correct size.  Louis', Bob M., SG, models wear clothes that fit.  I have seen Bob M. and Isaac tell  the host they most frequently work with that they need to go up a size.  It seems so simple to me that I cannot understand why this continues to be an issue.

I have also heard Bob M. & Isaac tell the hosts to go up a size......was so glad they did.....even  if it didn't change things...ha

Re: Models Wearing Clothing Too Small

I too watched the Halston show last night, well most of it, and I think the real issue with Meredith isn't the size of the shirts she's wearing...she needs a better bra!

She's young and inexperienced. You'd think that a stylist would take her in hand and help her out...

Jessica looked, in one outfit, like she'd lost 20 lbs! And then they put her in baggy, shiny, pajama bottoms that did her no favors Woman Frustrated (no they weren't actually pajamas, they just looked like pajamas)

Re: Models Wearing Clothing Too Small

I have to wonder how professional these models really are and why the Q can't provide the right size fashions for the models. The models reputation is on the line when she models, so why would she risk that on a daily basis. I don't think I've ever seen Kate in something ill fitting though, so it makes me wonder whose choice is it really!

I first want to preface this by saying I think QVC has the prettiest models and they are all so down to earth.  I really enjoy watching them and they have great personalities.  However, it drives me nuts that many of them wear their clothes too small.  I notice this especially with Monica, Meredith, and Carrie.  All of these women are large chested and have ample backsides, yet they are put in sizes that are not flattering on them.  I was watching tonights Halston show and Meredith's shirt was so tight the buttons were pulling and you could see every roll in her back...and she is a thin girl! Then when they host asks what size they are wearing they say XXS or size 2.   I am sorry but none of those girls are XXS!  Maybe Suzanne or Katja but not these girls.  They have gorgeous figures but they are curvey!  QVC please put the correct size on the models so we at home can see how the fashions will look on us!

NAT:  I have noticed that as well.  It seems to me that the one whose clothes fit most consistently are Kate, Suzanne and Deana.  I

Re: Models Wearing Clothing Too Small

I agree in many cases the clothing is too small especially jackets! But Q models (regardless of size) are lean gals. Not many have rolls tummy or back so they can wear a body conforming size. But like someone said, stop saying "I have on an XXS!"

Re: Models Wearing Clothing Too Small

I tend to agree that some of the models do not wear their appropriate size, but some do. I really do not understand. They always are saying that they carry xxs - 3x. Some items in petites. Some items in talls. If there is such a large range of sizes - why do some models look stuffed into their clothes and others don't. I know everyone does not look good in everything - but, the correct size makes a big difference too. I think I should start wearing too small of a size and see what my family or friends say - and believe me, they would say something! (Especially since I could not button up/zip up, sit down, or breathe for that matter). I do agree with the person that mentioned when the models are working with Susan Graver they do seem to wear the correct size for themselves. The size of the garment is just as important as the garment itself as to whether it looks good or not.
