Re: Lourdes Leon (madonna's daughter) fashion week

I can think of a lot of talentless nepo-babies who wormed their way into jobs much more important than walking in a runway show.

I know many young girls my daughters age and i dont know any sexxedup deviants. I also have younger kids in my family- the next generation, if you will- and nope, no deviants there either.

Re: Lourdes Leon (madonna's daughter) fashion week

As usual, I will buck the trend here and say honestly, the only reason Lourdes Leon is on the runway for NY Fashion Week or has a cosmetic contract is precisely because she is Madonna's daughter.  IT IS WHO HER MAMA IS.  There is no other reason.  She is average looking just like Madonna and because her mama is famous she has advantages that other more talented and beautiful girls don't have.

It is the way the world works.

As far as the satanic fashion trends it is the "thing" of the moment to act all edgy and shocking to viewers.  Actually, it is quite boring and not very creative.

@Linmo  Yes, I'm not a fan of the devil trend.  I do think skulls are still a thing - but these images they are using in this fashion show is way next level to that.  I think we will have to disagre on Lourdes as far as being model material - not just her body type, face, but also demeanor. This is not a put down to lourdes, she is fine looking, but not in that particular league.  Personally I am not against legacy positions for kids, but they should be more appropriate.  In this case it seems to me there were many more appropriate opportunities in eveniable jobs that mom and her contacts could have gotten for lourdes.   But, you know, this is just how I see it.

@moonandthestars I understand where you're coming from.  You're not a fan of the devilish trend.   The prior trend to devilish was skulls.  It may still be current for all I know.  I have children around the same age as Lourdes and would never gift them anything with skulls.

But as I posted, I think Lourdes is beautiful and easily see her being a successful model.  She is not tall and thin, but I think we need to revisit what we consider beautiful, IMO.

I enjoy the camp style absurdity of fashion week.

Umm ... you don't have to believe that there's a red devil underground with a pitchfork, as you say, to acknowledge that there is here above the ground, a culture, a way of thinking, a way of behaving, that goes along with people who are attached to and attracted to satanic culture.  That is a thing, whether or not you or I or anyone else personally believes in an actual devil figure.   To me it's unhealthy for society in general to be like one big shrug over it all when the cool people, the fashion people, etc. show this as "high art".   That sort of normalcy is in itself an influence to be more open to it, towards it.

@moonandthestars I don't know what "satanic culture" is, the evil-doers I know dress like everyone else and usually claim to serve Gxd.
