Great post, feline groovy - although I was a child during that time, how I remember the fashions of the 1960's. Loved them then, love them now. London was just as fashion forward (if not more so) than Paris, with the Mary Quant and Twiggy looks, as well as those Vidal Sassoon hair creations. Remember those Yardley of London ads (like the one below featuring Jean Shrimpton)? Carnaby Street ruled!
Thank you, Rose, and yes to (mostly, LOL) remembering the 1960's fashions hair, makeup, looks, and those Yardley of London ads.
I was also a child of the 60's (born in 1963), so I probably wasn't paying enough attention to the above, though.
I mentioned this earlier, but I'd like to start a thread of the 1970's fashions, etc. - a coming of age (childhood-into-teen) period for many of us.
I know that some think it was the worst decade in fashion, but I did like a lot of it.
Thanks for posting that fab ad (those eyes of hers!).
