Colleen Corby was one of my favorite models too. I used to pour over Seventeen magazine at the school library and kept the magazines I bought with my babysitting money.
I think some of the first makeup I bought was by Angel Face, they were about a $1 each at Woolworth.

@shoekitty Yep... NOW I understand my choice of printed fabric for a prom dress... remembered with not-so-much fond memories! The Jessica McClintock influence! 1970 here too!
@feline groovy My mom was put out with my shopping for cosmetics at Woolworth. She said she would purchase a "set" of reputable skin care items for my use if I stopped using up my babysitting $ on "junk." All of it turned orange on me!!!

Wow, didn't know they even made them!
Wonder if they still do?

Colleen was 5'7 and 107 pounds. Back in the day models had to be very thin ......today nothing really has changed except the demand for models over 5'10 who are as equally as thin.

They still make them but you can achieve a similar look with Clinque bottom lashes mascara. It definitely works differently than regular mascara and worth the price.

@MissRose722 wrote:Great post, feline groovy - although I was a child during that time, how I remember the fashions of the 1960's. Loved them then, love them now. London was just as fashion forward (if not more so) than Paris, with the Mary Quant and Twiggy looks, as well as those Vidal Sassoon hair creations. Remember those Yardley of London ads (like the one below featuring Jean Shrimpton)? Carnaby Street ruled!
Oh how I loved my Yardley slicker lipsticks.
We wore black patent eyeliner that you peeled off.

Yes! I remember wearing that. This is such a fun thread - it's making me all nostalgic.
