Why does it matter what Shawn wears? Whatever she's selling, she uses or wears.

My point is that if she's not truthful with her audience, why should we believe anything she says about the products she's selling.

Excellent point, K9buddy. There were many posts a few weeks ago concerning her lack of honesty. Even Isaac referenced her heels and foot problems on his show this evening.

She wore jeans on air just last week. It speaks to credibility, which believe it or not, is important in sales, as it is in life.

Not for me. I look at what is on offer and can decide for myself what will fit my taste, style and life. I am sure that I am not alone. I don't watch the Q for the hosts - they have to sell whatever they are told to sell. I do watch some for "entertainment" but that is something entirely different to my purchases. I trust my own judgement about myself.

so you would buy a car from a pushy slick salesperson? When I purchase something, whether B/M store or QVC (HSN), the person selling the item is important - if they come on too strong, I walk out the door or change the channel. A lot of channel changing on my part these days. As others have stated, I am a long-long-time watcher and truly dislike the cutesy nonsense pitched at us these days.

The Models were perfect - with great chemistry with every host - not just LR. PM style had such a good rhythm, followed by Isaac, who also has a good sense of timing. Now we have nothing but chaos, confusion, panic and infantile behavior. Even Amy was better, calmer, more sophisticated when she was on with Lisa. And Shawn knows better. Her Friday afternoon show is way more fun and relaxedthan PM style. It's as if the directors feel obligated to erase every trace of Lisa's style. Why? I "If it isn't broken- don't fix it!"
It seems that Q is trying to make Shawn into a fashion expert or inspiration/fashionista. It's obviously not her nature. The impression that I have is that she's trying to be something she is not, so it looks desperate-begging customers to "try it", falls flat & translates as disingenuous. Nothing personal against Shawn-she has established a niche/customer base. Bad decisions by Q to push Shawn in this role & the whole revamped Monday night lineup is so uninspiring!

ITA!!! The problem I have, in addition to practically everything everyone has said, is Shawn is becoming less and less credible as the days go on and she's on air opening her mouth! She has a flock of supporters telling her to be herself, she posts daily quotes on FB ABOUT being oneself and never changing who you are, yet she comes on air being anything BUT who she has said she is!

Her bad feet. Right. I noticed she had this whole foot thing when Vionic came on board. Same story for Spenco or whatever other orthodic-type shoe she is selling. Then she's twirling around set with Rick wearing heels higher than a person with self-proclaimed HORRIBLE feet would be able to do! But wait.....enter IM's wedges.....suddenly she feels obligated from ALL the posts on her FB page and on here to address her foot issue. So what does she do? She explains she is able to wear heels now because she wears platforms and IM's fabulous sole layered shoes???? Really Shawn???? Come on now! She looked like a fool saying that, and they called her out on her FB page, of course until it was all deleted.

Then... those handbags. For YEARS we've heard she is not a big bag girl, not a this girl, not a that girl....suddenly again....she would NOW buy one of those big handbags even if she "only had two items" to put in it??? Right! And the begging is beyond.

But... I'd like to end my little problem with Shawn by saying.... we ALL see right through her because she really is NOT a good sales person at all. Whining, begging, pleading for sales, using depressing stories to sell her jewelry, is SO unprofessional and is placed right up there with those carnival acts.

In the end....she said it on Martha Stewart's Apprentice and apparently is STILL living it here on the Q: "Fake it until you make it" and she was fired. Sorry, but that is so not cool. If you don't like something, don't tell me you do. Simply sell it on its MERITS because someone will like it. And THAT'S what a great sales person would do!

You absolutely nailed it! Spot on with your assessment. How many people are going to sit and watch a program when they have absolutely no confidence in the host? You spend the entire time rolling your eyes due to the ridiculous behavior, immaturity, mindless yapping, and contradictory pronouncements. Life is too short for stupid! Shawn is just not a fashion person. No cred. Not adorbs. Maybe Sandra and Courtney on PMS? Amy: Please calm down. I can't watch you any more either; you're so cute, but so frantic!

Ok so the Dansko`s are adorbs and so comfortable that you will want to wear them to bed. Shawn, they are shoes for heaven`s sake!! IMO there were better choices for a host for this show and yes I`m changing the channel.

"adorbs" was the best part....NOT.....I get the use of short cuts in text messages...but on TV?? Seems odd. I don't like it just like I don't like to hear "fab", "delish", or "hon", but perhaps it's just me....

I don't know how she was able to do the new on CBS with speech like this. Or did she just acquire this for the "Q"?

Teleprompter. New anchors read text from a teleprompter.

Lisa Robertson, used the line, "Fake it until to you make it" several times as well.

I'm trying to figure out how the host is trying to sell to a younger customer, when the items presented are clearly for the 40 plus woman. Some of those younger hosts may wear an item or two in their personal life, but I highly doubt they are a QVC billboard.

I would like to watch Isaac, but I find I just do turn it off. Shawn talks and talks and talks and there is simply no point to it. There is no beginning, middle and end; the train of thought doesn't exist with her.

I get irritated with Jane and Pat giggling and getting lost in a story in the mornings, but gee at least there IS a story and a point and I can follow the conversation. With Shawn? I can watch her for 20 minutes and have no clue what she said, or even what she said about the clothing she is trying to sell. She seems almost so disinterested that it is impossible for her to finish a thought.

I was watching other TV shows so I missed all of last night except for the very end of PM Style. Are Kate and Suzanne no long models on those shows? Not that it matters, I guess. It just seems like they have changed everything up, including the models.... Again, it doesn't matter, just different. Hope they are showing new lines of clothing with all of the changes!!

Yes, it appears they felt compelled to change out virtually all the models too, which, to me, was a big mistake... Some familiarity would have been nice and I preferred the 'old' PM Style models... They wanted to now make this Shawn's show, fine, but I don't think they needed different models to do so...

I am hoping it was the models' choice whether or not they wanted to stay on PMS without LR, whom it was obvious they were good friends with. Maybe Jackie was the only one of the original models who cared to stay. (It makes me feel better to think that rather than they were just kicked off the show.)

Gee, I think Shawn is doing just fine......She is well-seasoned, experience-wise. It wouldn't be easy for any host to transition into that spot, and make every single viewer happy.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I agree. I can't stand it anymore......not for me. The frenetic voice drives me away.
