Perhaps this has been mentioned in those long threads I don't have time to read right now. In their size chart I would wear a large instead of my usual 1X. Certainly isn't retail store sizing. To be honest I would call this look conservative office. Give me the fun prints

I wear a medium or large (mostly large) and am an xs in this line. And it is very generous. I just got a pair of their cropped jeans in a 12 and probably could have done a 10 and been fine.

Not familar with this brand, but neither is Susan Graver. I recently bought my first SG top in an XS and I never wear that in B&M clothing, usually S or sometimes M. I didn't go by her size chart though, which, if I remember correctly, would've put me in a M. I measured the back shoulder from armhole to armhole on a similar top I already had and went by that.

I've seen a couple of articles recently about stores adding more "inclusive" sizing.
I googled "Universal Standard" to see what the company's story is:
universalstandard dot com / pages / about - us
Universal Standard started with the two of us, but we actually wanted to do it for all of us. We lived in a world in which access was limited. We couldn’t shop together; one of us could hardly shop at all. It felt unfair, but moreover, it made no sense. If 67% of women in the U.S. wear a size 14 or above, why were their options so dismal? It was clear that all women weren’t given the same level of style, quality, or even respect.
There's a lot more to their story .... if you're interested.

Oh I am very glad that more and more sizing is available to all of us. I agree with that 110%.
For me though, I have enough trouble trying to figure out sizing and then when they change it all up, I hate trying to figure it out. I have tops in four sizes, small to X-Large, in my closet and they all fit. Makes me crazy to try to order on line. I especially like to have the actual garment size posted, but many do not do this.

Universal Standard? When I first read it I figured this company was adhering to some world-wide attempt to standardize sizing. No, they are just worse, but good luck to them.

The colors are dull, and the clothes are ugly. The dress looks like a sack.🤮 The host earned her pay selling that ******.

Why is the size on the label so important to people? If you are 40 in the hips why does it matter the size on the label? If the label says 10, 44, XS or M, the fit is what it is regardless of size.
IMO the good thing is this brand covers more sizes than most brands. I was looking at a SPF shirt on Amazon and the size is small to XXL, only cover 10 inches of bust measurement. Universal Standard accomodates bust measurement from 32 to 75.
