I was not being naughty, I was being honest and I will continue to be oh so nice as you put it. There are a lot of snobs that think they rule the boards and whether one is being naughty or nice they always have a come back. Posters like myself just can't win. I brought out the snark with nasty comments and now I bring out the snark with oh so nice comments. Go figure.

Try not to let it get you down too much, golfcartrider. I briefly went through the same thing as you. I just use the ignore feature on QVC and then I don't have to see their posts. And you don't have to be "Oh So Nice."

I've now learned on this board that with some of the posters, if they don't like you or have something against you, there's not much you can do to change that.

If you try to get tough with them, they'll say you're being cold, non-compassionate and full of yourself.

If you try to be nice, they'll say you're being passive-aggressive and playing innocent.

If you say nothing, they'll make comments about you being a loon in a mental asylum and think, "the doctors finally gave you your medication to calm you down and kept you away from the computer." (not making fun of mental patients, by the way, but those are some of the comments I used to see)

So if anyone starts snarking at you, just put them on ignore. I know you can still see the posts if they're quoted, but I guess it's better than nothing.

I tend to believe people are who they say they are but occasionally someone will begin a thread with only one post to their history and level a super critical comment against a host, a product or a vendor -- and then never return after the food fight breaks out. I often think those might be phony IDs. We all had to start posting somewhere but to come in with a flamethrower as your first comment always makes me go hmmmm....

Yes ! There was a poster (on the VP board last year) who posted endless topics/threads about her daughter-in-law, whom she despised, her "saintly Son" (my words, but that was the gist of it since she blamed her DIL for *all things miserable* in his/their life) , and her 'precious baby Grand Daughter' that she (the poster) wanted to get to know, but the DIL disapproved of her MIL. The threads got really weird when the Poster HAD TO BUY DIAPERS for her Grand, using her own money, having to travel in a City she didn't know, and the worst part was the description of their apartment (that the Poster went to visit) complete with tales of The Bedbugs and Fumigating !!!...

OMG, HER DRAMA was endless !!! And *The Regulars* on VP had called her out, many times, about her stories (and the PlotHoles in them). Most of her topics had well over 200 replies/posts on them, before they were finally poofed. The last topic that I saw from her, she was Trolling her Neighborhood, and wanted a certain gentleman to Notice her...because, SHE 'wanted to get to know Him'.

From what I understand, she regularly changed her Nickname here, as she was banned many times, but always returned - in her reincarnations - Plus, she was afraid that her Son/ DIL would read her postings on this forum (and, as a result, would not allow her to be involved in their lives nor their Daughter's life)... Oftentimes, I wondered if it was Real, or merely a concocted story designed to get the attention she desperately craved.
