One time I wrote a review about a pair of shoes.  They were these really cute clogs and they were an expensive splurge.

They fit me well and were comfortable, but I fell a few times while wearing them.  Dummy me never associated my falling with the shoes until I broke my ankle.

I never fall and haven't fallen since, so it's not me. It was definitely the shoes.

When I gave my review, I mentioned that the shoes tended to twist the foot ( they did) and made me fall.

That review was poofed!

@Carmie

I can understand the poofing.

It could have been you IN/WITH those shoes...They definitely were not for you.

You can't make a blanket statement that anyone wearing them will get twisted and thus fall.

I recently bought a pair of Vionics mule slippers that my friend ordered and loves.

I keep walking outta the things and tripping!  Mule style are not for me...but they are for her!

I never said they would make everyone fall.  I just said they made me fall.

I am a shoe addict and never had any other shoes do this before.  They were flawed.  I wish I remembered the brand.

I always wear clogs and mules.  I have had surgery on my foot and shoes with a closed back hurt my feet.  So, it wasn't the style.

@PINKdogWOOD.  I've written hundreds of reviews.  Until they stopped counting, I was one of the top 25 reviewers.  I've never had anything I've written changed, and not all of my reviews have been complimentary.   If somebody did make an alteration, I'd request that it be removed.

I do agree that your comment about sales was out of line.  You have no way of knowing how it'll sell and that has nothing to do with the appearance or performance of the product.

I always write a review and have never had one changed. Don't believe this happens at QVC.

But you said the shoe twisted the foot.

It twisted Your foot.  That may not be the case with others so I understand them poofing.

They are not going to allow references that an item is hazardous based just on one customer's experience.

I've never had a review edited, but what irks me is when I take the time to review an item (it's for the benefit of those interested in the item and written to be fair)....there's always one in the bunch who gives a thumbs down. I mean come on.....really??!  That's just rude.

I've written many reviews both good and bad. I don't believe any were edited or removed.
