I totally ignore the "was this helpful" button on any site.  To me they are trying to teach you how to write a review that will get accepted.  I think we all have the idea by now.  And I never read the totals later on.  This is not about ego for me.  I genuinely am looking for general impressions or info about a specific feature.  (like low neckline, etc.)

One bad review I wrote recently for a clothing item was not posted. There was nothing in that review that was against standards. I had a bad review for a beauty product removed years ago. As a matter of fact all the reviews were removed, and a few days later the product reappeared with no reviews. 

 

I would like the opportunity to edit my own review if something comes up with a product after a few uses, wears, etc. I use reviews and online info & measurements before ordering. I don't think people should be able to post a review unless the item was purchased.
