I didn't know or maybe realize at all that when we write and post reviews, the Q tekkies get to read, review and then edit what we write. Since when is this fair?

I get it when someone writes a scathing review when they flat out bad mouth perhaps the host of the product. I do get this. but when we write reviews to give others better info on the product than what is in the description of the item, I think that's just wrong.

I wrote a review on that cute sweatshirt dress Studio Park x Shawn K. I was kind, I said it was cute and what I added about the fabric SK chose, I indicated there was no give to the fabric and that this one won't sell because of that.

Thanks for your review!

Reviews have been so wonky lately, maybe we should do out reviews here!

I haven't been able to leave a review in ages, so I just stopped trying.

Huh!

I have written reviews for years and years and never had one edited or changed.

This is what they posted @PINKdogWOOD

But it did not. According to the size chart I bought PXS, should have fit perfectly but THERE IS NO GIVE in this favric. It is cute in the grey, I'm exchanging to try a larger size and go from there. I love a dress like this for winter with tights and a great pr of boots. We'll see. I do recommend tring this but you NEED to size up one or two sizes.

What wording did they change?  That it won't sell?

@PINKdogWOOD    What did they edit?  The one comment I see that has nothing to do with reviewing is your opinion that the dress won't sell.   That doesn't help a shopper decide.

The staff at the company have a computer number that tells them whether the item sells or not, so it's not news to them either.

@RespectLife   "that it won't sell"

I was just trying to be honest, truthful. More a headsup to those who may be thinking about picking up this dress. I love a casual dress like this but the size I bought did not fit. The sleeves are so darn tight I could barely get my skinny arms in this dress.

I was really bummed, this style is so up my alley. Now I need to spend my time and more money to return it.

Writing reviews here is so hard to do anymore too. They've changed the entire process and none of it is good, more times than not it doesn't even work.

I've never had QVC edit any of my reviews but I know some I've made on Amazon have been deleted altogether, even getting a notice that my review didn't fit their standards. Not sure what I said but it wasn't anything that I thought was improper.

I don't think it matters much.  Reviews have always been worthless to me because they are all just someone's personal opinion.  And worse, many people post a review for items they don't even own. I remember when Louis would actively encounter his Facebook fans to post glowing reviews to support him.  And they did.  A lot of those reviews were fiction.  Now clothing's vendors provide freebies to customers and the customers only have to post glowing reviews and pictures on Facebook to keep the freebies coming. It's not just QVC and HSN, it's all retailers.

What I don't understand is why "that's why it won't sell" is important in this review.   Your opinion on whether the item sells and why doesn't help the next person considering the purchase.  There are some buyers who don't want stretch fabrics.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

One time I wrote a review about a pair of shoes.  They were these really cute clogs and they were an expensive splurge.

They fit me well and were comfortable, but I fell a few times while wearing them.  Dummy me never associated my falling with the shoes until I broke my ankle.

I never fall and haven't fallen since, so it's not me. It was definitely the shoes.

When I gave my review, I mentioned that the shoes tended to twist the foot ( they did) and made me fall.

That review was poofed!

I don't find all the reviews really worthless.

If multiple reviews all say the same thing (it runs big/small, tight arms etc)  I can base my decisions on that important info.

I have passed on purchases based on multiple negative reviews.

Ya have to take them with a grain of salt...but I do read them and leave them.

What I really dislike is when they allow reviews from those who have not purchased.

Such as reviews they are mad it doesn't come in petite/tall, or their favorite color....
