Re: Do You Ever Go To High Scale Consignment Shops?

We have 2 that are supposed to be high end.

Both had QVC clothing (Quacker, Graver, D&C).

And the prices!  They were higher than what the Q charges new with shipping.

I laughed (and laughed and laughed) and left.

Re: Do You Ever Go To High Scale Consignment Shops?

I used to love to shop in vintage thrift and consignment stores, but it was too heartbreaking because I would fall in love with something and it would be the wrong size - by a lot. (Especially with vintage fashion from the 50s and 60s, where sizes were so different.)

I did buy my first prom dress from a vintage thrift shop when I was in high school. It was not attractive but had potential and I talked them down to under $15. My mom helped me make all kinds of alternations and I had a one of a kind prom dress that cost less than the shoes I bought to wear with it.

My daughter does but I don't.  They smell funny.
