I live on the west coast and don't care for loud splashy bold prints of any kind, it's a person's own preference in style, it's not a regional thing!

I like the beach pants, but capri length fits me best,but wish they would tone ddown the prints,add more solid colors, tan, brown, blue, not navy blue,they have those.

I have been looking for a very quiet small print knit  beach pant and top set.

I just wanted to get 1 matching  set to take on vacation.

I can not find anything that is not bright, big, and in your face.

Not everyone likes big loud prints...maybe I'm in the minority.

@Dusty1   I am short also and my waist is no longer tiny, nor are my hips.  I have been buying good quality clothes in petite sizes

at J.Jill, Appleseed's and Macy's, online.  I try to buy all cotton and no thin knits.

  L.L. Bean also carries some petites and are good quality. Most of their clothing is not my style (too outdoorsy).

But I have a few of their cashmere sweaters and pima cotton tops.

Appleseed's for a couple of years.

I'm not into large bold prints either, but those kinds of items are trending this year, especially if they're florals. Matching sets are also trending, whether they be solid or printed pieces. 

I think some people like to dress in more colors and prints in warmer weather. It's definitely eye catching and fun. 

I think we can take fashion too seriously sometimes. It's great that there are lots of choices out there for people now. Wear what you like, and ignore the rest.
