I don't watch a lot but I do try to tune in to the fashion shows, always on the search for something new. It sure seems that on QVC there are lots of balloon sleeves with elastic cuffs. Just not a fan of this look, seems very juvenile to me. Another "trend" that I'm afraid I'm too old to wear.

Agree.  They remind me of Seinfeld's pirate shirt.

I don't like balloon style anything!   G by Guiliana had a dress on HSN yesterday with a balloon bottom (864-499).   IMO it makes you look larger like you're the balloon, LOL, oh my.   I don't think this fad will last very long.

Agree - not a style I would ever wear.

LOL @Carolina925 I can't say I'm a fan of this style either. I saw a blouse from Kim Gravel on QVC's website and I think the colors and the embroidery on the top is very pretty but I think it will be too voluminous on me.  I find that look can make me look and feel bigger and I really don't want that.

I was looking online for some summer tops with 3/4 sleeves and Kohls had some really cute ones on sale this week, but when I looked closely at the style they were balloon sleeves that turned me off real quick.

The balloon sleeve, and its many iterations, is not going anywhere.

I think a smaller, or slightly deflated baloon is fine.It also depends on how the sleeve sits. A more set-in (No hablo clothing construction) sleeve where the poof is even with the shoulder is subtler. I have an Ulla Johson dress with huge sleeves that sit low and it looks nice. I have another Ulla where the poof practically hits my ears and that dress is definitely a mood.
