Hello!
I was tempted by the clearance prices on DH classic stretch jeans. I tried the 6P and the jeans were falling off my butt after an hour or so. I sized down to a 4P but now I swear my backside looks weird.

Are her jeans kind of low rise? I feel like now they are very snug on my butt and make my butt look big - maybe because they are too tight and stretching the pockets out?

Anyone notice something like this?

I have tried her jeans and they just don't work for my pear shape. Either too big, too small or start to slip. I wear Democracy now. I have 3 of their styles and have 12 pairs. I love them.

@atat00 , I stopped buying her.jeans because the sizing was so inconsistent.  Almost always a return and that gets expensive.  I almost always had to wear a belt with them also because they tended to slide down.  I don't normally wear a belt.

She had a lot of feedback about inconsistent sizing but never seemed to fix it.

I own only two DG2 jeans that I got on sale...one gray pullon jegging, (more of a knit, "jeans look" legging than a jean), and one skinny dark wash jean. I like and wear both. I took my normal size 4 in the jean and XS in jegging and both worked out.

***Correction...actually, I just remembered, due to what they advised, I sized down to a 2 and it fits like my normal 4's would. There's a lot of stretch in these. I'm only ever a 2 lately if it's vanity sizing like with Chicos or Jag boyfriends I have in size 2's but am a solid size, realistic 4.

I can agree that I wear a "skinny belt" (ie. it's a flat, thin, elastic belt that adds no bulk but keeps my pants in place, and yes, I rarely need to wear belts with other jeans), with the DG2 jeans, as they do tend to slide down a little...but I do like them.

That said...I'm not a huge fan of DG2, I just happened to see those offered and they fit the bill for something I was looking for then. I find all the different "stretches" confusing, and I just prefer my usual jeans brands I trust more for fit and quality, such as Tribal, Liverpool, Chicos, Jag, Paige. Like someone else mentioned here...I only have Democracy in a pair of long shorts, which fit like a dream, so I also might give their regular jeans a try sometime. I've never heard anyone say anything other than they love the fit of that brand.

I own two pairs of her Virtual Stretch jeans (DG2) which I really like.  But to get to those two pairs I had to kiss a lot of frogs!  LOL.........I agree with others her sizing is totally inconsistent and I would never buy her line again.  As another poster said, Democracy is quite a good fitting jean. I own three pairs of those.

I agree with the others. DG2 jeans feel low rise to me, and the waist gaps. Diane Gilman said her waist was large, so she designed her jeans for "more mature" women. I've tried about 10 pairs, and I think two pair fit well. The rest just droop or sink after an hour of wearing. I had better luck with Laurie Felt jeans.

I've yet to find a pair of DG jeans that fit well. I like a little bigger waist, but she goes to extremes. Way too big. And they seem to slide with me  always tugging them up. Diane and Susan Graver believe they have the best jean fit. I don't think either are that. I'm going to give NYDJ a try.

My favorite of all time for her line is the Infinity stretch (triple-sizing) jeans.  0-2-4, 6-8-10, etc.  I bought every color in the bootcut and the skinny.  I do not like baggy thighs in jeans and I think it looks terrible when there is too much fabric bunching up in the upper legs.  I do not have that problem with the Infinity stretch jeans.  I heard Sam Saboura (sp?) say they are coming back at some point and I hope that does happen.  They fit very nicely.

To me her jeans are made of a thinner denim and depending on which collection, they sometimes have way too much stretch. Some of my DG2 jeans stretch out too much. I just gave up buy them any more. My last jeans I bought were D&Co EasyStretch and I love them. Never bag out or stretch out anywhere.

I bought a pair of DG2 jeans last year. I needed a light blue pair of jeans and got the classic stretch boot cut in chambray, my regular size 4. They fit perfectly. The fabric was very thin, which is fine for warmer temps. The zipper is so cheap it barely works. I'm going to replace it as I don't want to be out and the zipper break on me. That's my experience with DG2.

Love Democracy! I love the waistband, no belt needed. It's the only brand I want to wear. I'm hoping one day we can get jeans in a straight leg or boot cut in long length. Not the pull-on, Itty bitty boot cut, but regular jeans.

Love their tops but would like some in a longer length.
