I disagree. I think you could! You have a great figure and with the right bottoms like a high-waisted pencil skirt or trousers you could definitely do a cropped jacket. I think you would rock it!

I like a cropped jacket-especially in denim. I am very short in the torso with slim hips and long legs. I don't have much of a waist, so a well fitted cropped jacket gives me one. I like to wear my top longer than the jacket.

Longer denim jackets often look frumpy on me.

I think she would have looked better with that jacket 2 sizes larger and unzipped.  That would have balanced her out.  Jmo.

They look fine if you are a size zero, have no hips, midriff, belly, or bust.  Love Jane, but don't like the was they have styled her in that jacket.

And if you are five 2 or five 3.

I'm not heavy, I'm almost five 8, I'm not hippy, but cropped jackets don't look good on me.  I see them everywehre, and I'm over them.  I don't want super long, dowdy jackets either.  I have a sweet spot of about a 27 inch jacket with my height.  I can even do 26 inches.

@KentuckyWoman  Not always true. I usually wear a size 2 or 4. The GILI jackets...especially cropped ones, are sized way too small and not flattering on too many women.

I like them. I think they're cute and different than the regular length jackets. I have cropped jean jackets in denim blue, white, black, and ivory. And at least this time around, it's fine to have a shirt or top that shows beneath the jacket.

It may not be a good look for some, but isn't that always the case with fashion?

@suzyQ3  Yes, I love cropped jackets. They’re a good proportion for my petite frame.

I do not care for the cropped jacket look at all.  To me they look like you have your little sisters jacket on.  Same with shrugs, one of the ugliest fads to me.

Just tuned in to check clothing KG, what's with these cropped jackets that cuts off half your body, and shows the worst features of our bodies (hips and top of thighs). It's as bad as yesterday's TSV. Didn't think it could get any worse. Not a good look on JT.

I was never a fan of cropped jackets and the longer top hanging beneath...to me it looks sloppy! Thank God designers are bringing in longer jackets..much more flattering! The cropped jackets must have been designed by men! Woman Wink

I've never thought those crop jackets were very flattering.  They are also "dated" in my mind.  That TSV with a ruffle on the bottom was horrible, IMO.  I have some denim jackets I barely wear in the winter, but when I do, I put it over a longer sweater top.  OMG, the site of the pants with those jackets.  Yikes!  Not me!  And, this is coming from someone who is tall and thin, who some here think the look is for.  It's not for this gal.
