@beach-mom   Eyes and hair are both brown, medium to darkish.  I get a few strands of gray every now and again, so I color my hair every couple of months.  The brown I color it is the same as my natural brown.

@Citrine1 - I can understand why you are an Autumn! Enjoy playing with this!  Smiley Happy

Thanks @beach-mom .  I'm looking forward to trying some colors that I usually shy away from.

I am summer. At least according to the quiz. The best I could ascertain.
The color swatches floored me. I've never taken this quiz but my closet exactly matched the color wheel.

Has anyone ever had their color chart done to see what colors look best on them?  I have coloring like Courtney and Amy but now my hair is silvery(mostly around my face) and salt/pepper.  Some colors make me look washed out so I am trying to figure out what works best for me now.  I think I would be considered "warm".

@bargainsgirl. Try the second version of color me beautiful called Color me Beautiful, Looking your best by Mary Spillane. I have this book and she specifically talks about how your coloring changes as you get older. In the book, she says that everybody gets a little cooler as they get older because the skin becomes more gray (looses color). The cool seasons are winter and summer. It doesn’t sound like you are a summer, because that would be somebody with less of a contrast between the skin and hair. You still have a contrast between your skin and hair, so I think the winter colors would be what you would wear next. You probably won’t be able to wear all the winter colors like black, but try primary colors and bright clear jewel tones.

The Carol Jackson book is outdated. Search the net to find your seasonal colors. There are now 16 seasonal colors. I am a Smokey Soft Summer.

When you find your colors it will change your wardrobe and makeup choices forever. You will never choose colors that don't work for you again and your wardrobe will coordinate beautifully.

Take some time to research this topic it is fun and you will see your coloring, and those around you, very differently.

@GoodyShoes I have to admit I am intrigued by all this. I bought the book you recommended on ebay. It will be interesting to see what I am.

@Squirrel Lover Yes, I am a "CLEAR (or "BRIGHT") SPRING"; my DD is a "TRUE SPRING".

Thanks!  I took the quiz on Color Me Beautiful and they say I am winter!  It can be so confusing but I will look into the newer version!
