Yes, of course I would wear white.

I have been to several events with themes of special designs and/or colors requested. Trying to match to the theme and/or color makes the event extra fun. Many people (like me) enjoy planning an outift like this in advance.

If the host is asking for this, saying he does not care does not really make sense, since he created the invitation. I think it is polite to try to meet the request, especially if the event will have many other high-level guests.

Winter whites are fun, and there are many options to create a great design, as simple as a long white silky scarf. For men a nice white sweater, of if more dressy, a white tie.

There may be photos published somewhere, and I would not want to "stick out like a sore thumb" apart from all the other people dressed in white.

Of course I'd (we) would wear white! I'm up for a fashion challenge. Sounds like fun!

Sure, it's fun! I'd consider it to be a "snow" event!

Not really.  It's very cold and snowy here.  I might wear a white sweater or something but that's about it.

I would probably wear an off white sweater but not white pants.

I honestly have only heard of a White Party in the warm months not in the middle of this frigid Winter.

Yes, I'd wear a white top. I don't have white pants and am not going to buy them for a party.

Yes, I would wear white.  I had been invited to a birthday party and asked to wear BLACK,  it was a 50th, I think!  He is still alive and in his 80's.  Another time, a funeral for a lady in her 80's, very close family friends and requested to were something flowery!  Most did, even guys had bright or flower ties.

DH & I have NO white in our wardrobes...it's just not a color we look good in! Well, I do have a white tank top that I could wear under another color. But we would not be spending money to buy something to wear just once.

DH doesn't ever wear white dress shirts, either. And why would he need one for his own funeral?

I don't own anything white, not even underwear so I would wear something else. White is just not a color for me.
