@dooBdoo. I just went to the diagnostic and usage. It just lists a bunch of stuff. I have never done this before. What do I do now?

          @SouthernBee,  Did you delete all cookies, history,  and website data?

To do this, go to:

Settings-->Safari

Tap "Clear History and Website Data" and on the pop-up tap "Clear."

Don't leave yet...  on the same screen, at the bottom you'll see "Advanced."

Tap that, then tap "Website Data" and tap "Remove All Website Data."  On the pop-up, tap "Remove."

          Just perform a backup/sync as you normally do.    That removes all the diagnostic and usage data.

@dooBdoo: I do not know how to do the backup. I went under settings and found the diagnostic and usage and there is a lot of data but no idea how to delete the info. I need instruction for dummies. Thank you, Southern Bee

            You're welcome, @SouthernBee...  but I fear I'm not much help from so far away.   The only way I know of to remove that data is by performing the backup/sync or by completely erasing the iPad, going back to factory settings, and setting it up either from a backup (which you don't have) or as a new device (you want to put a lot of thought into doing this...  before you do it...  because this deletes things you might want to keep, like all your settings, your notes, photos, contacts that haven't been synced elsewhere, etc.).    Is there any way you could locate some tech assistance, with perhaps a library or community center?    That would be the best thing to do in this situation, in my opinion.

@SouthernBee  About a year and a half ago, on Black Friday week-end, Amazon had the Samsung S2 pads on sale and since I was having trouble with my iPad, I decided to get one.  It is of course using the Android system.  I had no trouble picking it up and using it.  It's not that much different from the iOS system.  It's about the same size as my iPad but much thinner and lighter.  I've had no trouble with it except I'm about out of memory.  It has an expandable memory so all I have to do is install the SD card that I already purchased.  Then I should be good through infinity.  It was on sale and I paid about $300. for it.  There are alternatives to iPads, and I like the Samsung just as well.

@SouthernBee

IOS 11 ... they are "talking" about it now, but the new iPhone comes out each year in the fall and that must be when it will hit.

I think my iPad syncs through iCloud, which is handy.

Do you have iCloud do you know?

I do not care to ever turn on my laptop again LOL

Thank you so much for helping on this ... I wrack my brain to try and understand the tech situation. 😳
