I need a simple answer since I am not tech savvy...how do I transfer photos and contacts from old Samsung tracfone to new Moto tracfone? I have a Google account.

For me, the easiest way is through bluetooth, if both phones have it. Just make sure both phones' bluetooth is on, and transfer.

I get the bluetooth being on but then what?  What steps do you do?

Hi--I downloaded the Tracfone Transfer Wizard app from Google Play. I used this twice every time I got a new phone and it always worked for me. Hope this helps you.

@bargainsgirl - You need to download the Tracfone Transfer Wizard to both phones and then just follow the instructions.

I use this every time I get a new phone with no problems.  You can select what you do or don't want to transfer.

I believe there are still instructions on the Tracfone site for how to do this, if you have any questions.

THanks!  I wasn't sure if Tracfone Wizard was still the way to go!

One more question...do I need to activate the new phone before or after using Transfer Wizard?

@bargainsgirl -  I've only just seen this question.  I've never really thought about it, but I always activate my new phone first, just to make sure it's going to work okay.  No sense transferring anything until you're sure your new phone will work.

If your photos are on the Google Photos app and backed up on the Google cloud, all you'll need to do is sign-in on your new phone and they should be available. I haven't used the transfer app for my last two phones. I just sign in to Google and everything's there. My photos are in the photo app, my contacts move over, even my bookmarks in Chrome move over. I'd try that first and if it doesn't work, play with the transfer apps.
