Tracfone that uses Verizon as its connection.....

I know nothing about cell phones, but being elderly and disabled, I am seriously considering getting one that does not require a contract. I have read/heard that Verizon is the best connection, but I don't need bells and whistles, though a camera would be nice.

Recs would be great from all of you who are so well-schooled in tech items. I don't want to spend over $100 and would like; roaming, free long distance (texting not needed as my hands barely work) and a reasonable monthly fee. Have I got all this info correct?

It's tough being old and beaten up. I feel like my father's 1929 Chrysler!
