Unlink YouTube from GMail????

Hi everyone,

This just happened a few days ago. I received notice on my screen that Google was now going to use my real name on linked sites such as YouTube. I had written a couple of comments on YouTube prior with a nic. So now my comments and anything I might comment on in the future will have my real name posted as I understand this.

I do not want my real name posted ANYWHERE other than on my gmail account. Does anyone know how to get around this (making my real name public???) without deleting my gmail account?
