I have a refurbished iPad 2 . Have received several suggestions from this group for several different issues. Last week increased problems with iPad turning off, screens and keyboard freezing, and pages constantly reloading. Have done everything to reset, deleted several apps. Today, DH gave me a refurbished Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 that he purchased 2 years ago and about 3 years ago I had a brand new Samsung Gaiaxy Tab 2. The one I had- DH tried to install a new battery and really messed it up.
I was was able to set the tablet up but having issues with email accounts trying to set up but getting messages that password or user ID not available. Not sure if Samsung customer service would help after two years. No manual with tablet just a quick start quite. Any suggestions greatly appreciated, SouthernBee

I use a Samsung S2, and have been very happy with it. I had a problem some time ago when I got locked out of it because of that darn fingerprint recognition. I called Samsung CS and got a gal who was dumb as a post, however she was willing to try. In the end, I had to do a complete restore and lost everything I had filed, like photos, music, etc.
There is available one of those "books for dummies"
for the S2. Unfortunately mine is misplaced. Try calling Samsung CS. I think there are some online boards for customer problems and questions.

@Kachina624: Thanks will try CS. I need a whole set of encyclopedias for Dummies like meš¤
I do not like DH computer. Today he had issues with his keyboard and mouse, I went on line and ordered for him. Sad for me because at this time not able to purchase another tablet or iPad but I need something to play with to have a few minutes during the day to take a break.

@SouthernBeeThere also might be a Samsung message board, a community you can ask for help. I know Apple has a community that people are always asking questions on.
Look around the Samsung website. Usually way down the bottom of the front page of any website there is a choice of "site map". If you find that, it will list everything available on the website. Look for "forum", "community", "message board" or any term like that.

Check this out and see if it's any help.

The best thing you can do is reset your iPad. If you want, you can back up the device to your computer or iCloud before doing the reset. Once done with the backup, get into settings, general then reset. It will put your iPad to it's original condition. You may find it works like new, If there is a hardware problem, the reset won't solve it but at least you tried.
Every device has the option to be reset to factory conditions. Before pitching a computer, phone, tablet etc., try a reset and see if it works.

@glb613: Tried everything but the factory reset. I thought all photos from the ipad had been transferred or backup or cloud storage. I have photos from home improvements completed in March and they are still on the ipad and no evidence that they are saved and I do not want to delete them by mistake. Trying to transfer them to DH computer so we can print them for a special photo album. Trying to explain but a real tech dummy.
So far on the android tablet have managed to set up app for email and now have all the previous emails and file folders. Appreciate your help. Southern Bee

Transfering photos from you iPad to computer is simple. Connect your iPad to your computer using the charging cord, open Windows Explorer or File Explorer on your computer, locate your iPad, double click and see if the photos are there. Depending on the version of Windows you're using, your photo program may automatically open. If you have a Mac, Photos or iPhoto will open and transfer.
