@Sooner.  I have no trouble using them but I have a small Samsung TV in the bedroom that constantly reverts to modes I've never seen before then I spend weeks fooling with it to get it back to where I want it.  Woe be the user who accidently hits a wrong key on the remote.  I'll never get another Samsung TV.

I have three Samsung tv's, and love them. The main one was the 4K when it came out a few years ago.  i've had no problems hitting different buttons, but careful when i do so and read what that perticular one does.  I also have the voice button from comcast on my remote and that helps a lot.

My phone is also a Samsung. So far, so good.

Sorry you are having problems.

I,m reading in bed at 5am, will get back to you .  Do you mean  on the TV OR REMOTE?  I DON,T think so.  My remote has the voice and I will ask it when I get up.  It,s Comcast and the voice is like Google with a microphone. Will get back two you this AM12/22

Also, MY REMOTES ALL HAVE A BUTTON THAT SAYS LAST AND THAT IS ONE WAY I GET BACK TO WHERE I WAS.  ANOTHER THAT SAYS EXIT AND THAT GETS ME OUT OF ANYTHING WHERE I DON,T WANT TO BE.

NO TV PLUS.

From everything I've read about smart tv's they can be hacked and the hacker can observe you in your home from its camera and hear what you're saying from the mic. That's all it took for my husband to say no way.  We subscribe to cable anyway and all the apps are on their platform such as Prime, Netflix, etc.

I blocked the camera, by turning it down on top of TV.  Not worried about hacking

on TV.  I am  84 and like to keep up with latest and greatest.  Learning keeps you going mentally.

My friends  in their 70,s are afraid to try anything new.  One doesn,t know how to work the remote, because her husband took care of all that stuff, and he pass last year.  I am teaching those that want to learn what to do.  Am setting up A Smart phone for two of them that have flip tops.  Also have them writing down what I am doing.  I have been on my own for years and have had to learn, because no one to do for me. When my husband was alive and he was fixing something, I would say let me watch you, so I would know what to do.

I tell women and men be independent and learn.  Anyway, back to TV, I just figured out how to use the playlist on mine to save some of programs that I want to keep and not get dropped off, like Tony Bennett,s 90 BD with Lady GAGA, that has been in my Q for awhile.

Now I  zoom A lot with family and exercise class.  One problem I am having now is, i connected my wireless to my IPad, but having problems connecting to my Chrome tablet.  I have gone into settings, I have gone to Bluetooth, but device, can,t connect. Was easy on ipad.

At 84 I dive in.  I wrote below all the gadgets I have from TV to iPad to smart phone to computers.  When you don,t have people to help, you learn and it keeps your brain young.

It,s ok to have someone help, but in having them let you watch, so you can learn.

What does this TV Plus look like and where is it on your TV screen?

@Kachina624   I have two Samsung smart TV's but don't think I have TV Plus.  What is it?

Re: Several Friends Bought Smart TV's

@hckynut. It's one of the functions available in the menu on the TV, not on the remote.  There are umpteen channels that when you press the channel up and down, flash by in a column on the right side of the screen.  A huge variety of channels with 4-digit numbers, like QVC is channel 1247.  Its hard to "catch" a channel since they fly by at warp speed.  You can't put in a number and go directly to the channel you want.  If I press channel 4 for the local NBC station I can go there, but if I press channel up, I go to this TV Plus and not channel 5.  Oh, and I'm on an antenna, not cable.

@Kachina624   I don't think I have that.  I use my Comcast remote on one TV and my Tivo on the other one though.
