Samsung s8plus

I am thinking of getting the new samsung s8 plus cell phone. I have a s6 now but would like a new phone. I do not care for the iphones. Does anyone have any comments on the samsung s8 plus. Thanks in advance.

Put it in a case immediately. When I bought mine, some kind of glaze was put on the screen and it did not protect my phone. My case was on order. Four weeks after the purchase I accidentally dropped my phone approximately 2 feet and the screen shattered causing the phone not to work. I paid $199 to have it replaced. The case arrived the day after the screen broke. I'm not sure how secure the phone is in the case. There is a cover but when I use the phone, the cover isn't covering the screen.

I have had various cell phones for over 20 years and that is the first one I broke!

My wife has had her S8, not the plus+ model, for a couple months now and loves it. Neither of us are impressed with the "i" system, we much prefer the Android Operating System. Her S8 came with the Nuget Version.

Thanks hckynut. I am not impressed with the i system either. I have had 2 samsungs and really like them.

@plc123 & @hckynut, I loooove my new Samsung S8 Plus! I have had it a couple months & it is awesome! I highly recommend the below "smart" cover that is also amazing. I got the orchid grey color & the case matches perfectly. I am no techie & it is extremely user-friendly.

We moved in June and we left Verizon for AT&T and we (my 2 sons and I) each got a new S8.

We love them and my youngest son (16) got the cover above. He really likes it.

We don't have the Plus but we do enjoy the phone. Immediately my first reaction to it is that it is much narrower than I was used to but with a cover on it felt much better in my hands.

We've had no issues with the phone so far and definitely recommend it.

@JB116, my son is horrified I did not get an iPhone. It is beyond his comprehension, lol. There is not a lot of difference between the plus & S8, but the pics are amazing, the battery life is awesome, glad your son got the Smart Cover, it is the bomb!
