Question about QVC Tracfone minutes

My QVC Tracfone minutes from last Christmas are about to expire.  Their site shows many plans but notes that none are triple minutes.  Where do I get those?  I use this phone only for emergencies on the road (like never) as cell service at the house is almost non-existent.

Re: Question about QVC Tracfone minutes

@depglassIf memory serves me correctly, Tracphone stopped offering the triple minutes to ALL customers two years ago. You cannot get triple minute with your current phone or by purchasing a new phone any longer.

Re: Question about QVC Tracfone minutes

DH and I have the Tracfone that triples the minutes. I set up my account to auto fill when I get low which is every 3-4 months. I get the plan for 450 min which triples to 1350 minutes data/text/talk. It costs $80.

@BirkiLady As long as I own my current phone my minutes triple. When I purchase a new tracfone I lose that benefit.

@OKPrincess@depglass - Thanks for the correction. I don't have a Tracphone and was going by want I have heard on TV. My apologies. .

@BirkiLady @depglass No harm done but you're correct any phone purchased now won't triple. That's a shame. 🙂 Have a great day.

Re: Question about QVC Tracfone minutes

The new phones give the total min you would previously have gotten after the triple. For instance instead of 500 that triples to 1500 you just get 1500 in the first place and when you buy more you get 1500 for what 500 would have cost - so there is no difference. Still the best phone bargain there is.

If you only use it for emergencies - very rarely - where did all your min. go? Clearly either you really have a ton of emergencies or you use it for more than that as the phone came with about 1200 min at least.

@BirkiLady& @depglass & @OKPrincess

I've had Tracfone for many years that came with triple min/texts/data and have upgraded phones several different times, yet I always retain my triple min/texts/data.

I'm only stating my experience.

Re: Question about QVC Tracfone minutes

I've had a Tracfone for years and buy a 60 minute card every 3 months, which then doubles to 120 minutes - it was the deal with the phone I bought.  I usually buy a phone card at Walgreens then go on the Tracfone website to load it.  This phone is just used for emergency purposes and I keep it in my purse.
