Didn't know Apple had payment plans.

They also have student discount plans.

Re: QVC's IPads

[ Edited ]

IPads are not made to be expandable.   QVC has nothing to do with it.   They are also overpriced at QVC because they include lots of unnecessary junk with them.

If you're speaking of a phone made by Apple,  it's not an iPad,  it's an iPhone.   A pad is a tablet.

QVC's prices for their iPad bundles are mind-bogglingly hilarious, especially for older models.

The only thing you absolutely must have right away with purchase is a case. I prefer to pick out my own case. You don't need a keyboard. You might want one at some point, but you don't need one. Same with earbuds, stylus, etc. You can easily buy your own, hands-on looking at them, locally, and get quality. Many of the accessories that QVC bundles are the sort of things you can buy in Big Lots or a dollar store.

As far as I know, none of the TV shopping channels are Authorized Apple Resellers.  I have no idea where they get the product.  I do know that the product they sell is usually older models.  If you want one of those, you can find Apple Refurbished Products on the Apple Website.  Those items are refurbished by Apple, come with a 1 year warranty and are eligible for Apple Care extended warranty and no-charge access to Apple's Tech Support.

Once again QVC and the other channel are selling older models with all kinds of junk a person will never need or use. I always try to get it from the reliable  place. If the O/P wants a real good deal on a tablet. I just brought from Amazion the fire 7 inch 5TH generation for only 49.00 It is a very good tablet and for the price with Prime it is a great tablet ... the reviews were very good on this tablet and I was very surprised at how good it was!

I am on my 3rd generation IPAD Air.  I will only buy, them from the Apple Store because I do not want to mess with the set up.  THe people at the Apple Store make sure that all my settings are correct and that all my data photos etc are transferred over.  WHen I bought my last IPAD I got a $120.00 instant trade in on my old IPAD.  I was not even aware they would do that.

I agree with those who say do not buy a IPAD from QVC.  THey throw in a lot of unnecessary overpriced accessories and then ratchet up the price.
