QVC has dropped the ball. Rant

Ordered two nuvision tablets for Christmas on today special value with a guarentee of Christmas delivery. Now only one is shipping due to (vendor error). Call customer service and get told too bad so sad, it is last minute. Ask for a supervisor and get told we cant contact supervisors. What the heck. Finally do get another 800 # and was finally able to contact a supervisor, but gee whiz nothing we can do, vendor error. NOT the way to conduct business, especially at Christmas.

I doubt anyone said "too bad, so sad."  Maybe you should have posted this in the Customer Care forum.

And if it is  vendor error, well, those things happen and there are NO guarantees for on time delivery at Christmas. Most of us know that.

Re: QVC has dropped the ball. Rant

Sorry you are not getting what you ordered. I would not order this late & expect to receive it in time. I would expect to receive the 2 I ordered.

Seems this happens every year with Q.

I don't doubt a CS rep said what you said she said. I've had it happen to me with CS reps before. Q is not the only place that has some rude CS reps that don't know how to deal with customers that should never hold the job they have.

I'm sorry that is happening. They did that last year when drones were all the rage.

The Q is probably one of the least reliable vendors when it comes to shipping. They lie and have no problem with it.

I use 12/10 as my last date to purchase something I must have by Christmas and next year, I'll move that up to 12/5.  QVC has no control over items that ship directly from the vendor and no control over what happens to purchases that are in the hands of UPS or the Post Office.

I don't buy that at all. How come many other stores/shopping sites get it delivered on time then?

OP:  By posting this, QVC may know whether this happened to others or not, and they may need to confront the vendor if a lot of people have had the same problem.

Thats why this bulletin board is so important

If QVC has no control over the vendors, and no control over the shipping, and no control over the weather, Then why do the keep say "Guaranteed Delivery" over and over and over. $$$$$$, that's why.

[ Edited ]

I ordered two different things:  one on the 19th and one yesterday, the 20th.  Both have already shipped and one is in the next location to me and will be here tomorrow.

So far I'm having good luck.  (I also sent a return and it's already been refunded.  Seems to me they're working quite quickly to try to process everything.)

NB:  I also don't believe a CS rep said "too bad, so sad".  I can believe he/she might've said something like "I'm sorry, there's nothing we can do about it", which would most likely be true.  The CS reps only have so much they can do, other than escalate a complaint up the line.  In this case, it still wouldn't have produced the response the OP wanted.

And why are all these complaints springing up from brand new members (only one post again)?  Maybe, it it's posted in "Customer Care" (as it should be), the moderators will be able to look into it, to see exactly what is going on.

This type of post happens every year and usually by a first time poster.  Next year, don't wait until the last minute.  Too many things can cause a delay.  NO ONE can guarentee before Christmas delivery this close to Christmas.
