And if it is vendor error, well, those things happen and there are NO guarantees for on time delivery at Christmas. Most of us know that.
You can bet serious money that there will be even more people whining that their late order isn't going to arrive by X-mas. As usual.
The Q can only guarantee -- in theory -- that something will arrive. However, there may be more orders than expected .... or a serious snowstorm and airports are temporarily not flying ..... or trucks aren't able to get from one place to another because of snowy conditions on freeways ..... or whatever.
IMO, if you wait until the last minute, it's a kwap shoot. Plan ahead.

I agree.......even if it "isn't QVC control" they shouldn't promise through other shipping methods that people will receive the items promised on the TV.............today i heard Pat D. say they will get things by Dec 24th if a purchaser pays $3.00 more......i found that hard to believe....

@chrystaltree wrote:I use 12/10 as my last date to purchase something I must have by Christmas and next year, I'll move that up to 12/5. QVC has no control over items that ship directly from the vendor and no control over what happens to purchases that are in the hands of UPS or the Post Office.
I don't buy that at all. How come many other stores/shopping sites get it delivered on time then?
Because they deal with reputable name vendors. Too often QVC uses rock-bottom cheap half-arthed vendors who give them super-low prices but nothing else. And QVC isn't going to change that. The low selling price is ALL. Whether the vendor can deliver? Not really important.

MOST people would find it hard to believe. But there are always some who, due to their own lack of foresight, need others to blame.

Then they shouldn't "guarantee".......they should state they will TRY to get the item there by Christmas Eve.....
the definition of guarantee is follows:
a formal promise or assurance that certain conditions will be fulfilled,

The problem, however, with their 'guarantee' is that there is nothing on the other end of it.
Traditionally, a guarantee has a 'what we'll do if this doesn't happen' component to it. THAT is what makes a guarantee. An empty-ended guarantee is just not a guarantee.

Temper tantrums make it right every time. CS can pull one out of the air and send it by carrier pigeon.

@Kachina624 - But are you sure that carrier pigeon can fly fast enough? ![]()
