Re: Need Tracfone Choice Input

I've had both Samsung and Moto and I prefer Samsung.  Can't go wrong with Tracfone.  We've had for over 10 years.

Garden man… I just saw your comment now a couple of months later. Boy did you make me laugh when you said you swear at yours. I hope you have a better phone now.

Yeah, I upgraded to the 2025 Moto G Stylus when the Q had it on sale for $159 a week or two ago. I'm very happy with it.

A lot of people love Samsung phones. That one was not a good fit for me. I'm back to my Moto phone and I'm very happy with it. The Samsung was constantly telling me I was low on memory and then adding three, four, five games/apps that I didn't want taking up what little memory there was. I'd delete them and free up space only to have them download still more junk overnight and start bombarding me with the short on memory messages again. I don't need a Samsung-branded web browser. I've got Chrome and Edge. I don't need a Samsung-branded app store. I don't need any of the Samsung-branded junk they pre-installed and wouldn't let me delete. If I want a new game or app, I'll find it and install it myself. Don't just dump them on my phone without asking and then tell me I'm short on memory. You're the reason I'm short on memory.

If you love Samsung, kudos to you. I like my old Samsung HDTV just fine. Just not that phone. It annoyed the heck out of me. I'm back with Moto and very happy again.

@gardenman - I was waiting to see if QVC put the Moto Stylus 2025 on sale (had it in my wish list) and instead it just disappeared!  I've been watching and there's no sign of it coming back.

Then last night the Moto Edge 2025 suddenly appeared as a Black Friday offer.  It's about $220 and I have a 20% off coupon, but I'm still undecided.  It does seem to get good reviews, but typical QVC, they don't list the model number or the storage capacity, so there's no way to know if it's the same phone that's out on the marketplace.

Any thoughts?

ETA:  BTW, I do know that the Moto Edge doesn't have a slot for an expansion card.  I haven't bothered with that on any of my recent phones, so I don't think that's an issue for me.

I've never had an Edge, but they seem like a very good phone. I looked at the TracFone site and they say "up to 256 GBs of memory." I would assume that means it has 256 GBs of memory.

Re: Need Tracfone Choice Input

@gardenman - Thanks.  I know in the past, the phones sold on QVC and HSN often had lower storage, even though the name was the same.  For instance, 128Gbs instead of 256, which is how I think they were able to offer the deals they do.

I think I'm going to go for it.  After all, I have until January 31st to return it, if I don't like it.  I would've preferred the Stylus 2025, but I really doubt they'll bring it back, certainly before all these sales are over.

The Edge does have a better camera and a slightly better battery.  I'll just have to pull the stylus out of my older phone and carry it around with me!
