@gardenman, HSN has three Moto G tracfones (NOT Play) on sale that I would like your opinions about.
They are priced at $60, $80 and $100 with the $100 one being shown as 2025. All three offer the usual one year/1500/1500/1500 package.
Thanks.

I like Moto phones. I'm leaning towards the Power or Stylus phones, but I don't think any of them are bad. The $60 only has 64 GB of storage while the other two have 128. The $80 one comes with a magnetic charge hoop, while $100 one comes with a conventional charger. The $60 and $100 ones seem to be the same model (XT2513V) while the $80 model is (XT2417D). The XT2513V is the 2025 model while the XT2417D is the 2024 model.
You get double the storage with the $100 one so if you need the extra storage it might be worth the upgrade. If you don't mind a 2024 phone, you get the same storage as the $100 phone for $80. These are pretty much the "normal" price for both phones according to Tracfone Reviewer at the shopping channels.

Hi Marp. Take the upgrade in my opinion for 100.00. You will have much more storage capacity. Best.

I've had Moto phones for many years. My older phone, which they don't make anymore was great and it lasted almost 7 years. Although, I purchased another Moto a few years ago, but kept it in the box brand new until my other one went, which is a Moto G play. I really don't like it at all because it's very slow and lags a lot. My advice is to never purchase a phone that you're not going to use right away because you will not get proper updates for a phone that was made a few years ago. So, because of my recent poor experience with this Moto phone, i'm already looking for another new phone and my next choice will be Samsung. I'm just waiting for a good deal to make my next purchase. Keep an eye out for the deals that have 1500 minutes for talk/text/data. Sometimes TracFone offers one year of unlimited minutes with a particular phone, which will probably be coming up in the next few months for Christmas.

I've got a Samsung now (their A15) and it's not my favorite phone by a long shot. I far prefer the Moto phones. The Samsung phone came preloaded with lots of Samsung-branded apps that ate a ton of storage space. It's slower than my older Moto G Stylus. It's just clunky compared to my old Moto G Stylus. I'm living with it for now, but I will be replacing it with a Moto (G Power or G Stylus) when I find the right deal. I would definitely recommend finding a retailer with any Samsung phone you're interested in on display, and play with it for a bit before buying. Many people love Samsung phones and swear by them. I more swear at mine. You could be a person who loves them. I'm not.

To start I want to thank y'all for your input. It was really helpful in determining my decision.
After spending an inordinate amount of time spent trying to figure out which phone would be best for me I decided to buy the $5 texts so I could get the 365 days of airtime for $50.
I'm going to stick with my 2022 Moto Stylus for a while longer. Decreasing battery life is the main reason I considered replacing my current phone but the way I use it (only when absolutely necessary) I can work around that until I find exactly what I want in an upgraded phone.
Again, thank you everyone for your input.

I also opted to just add another years airtime om Moto Stylus G5.![]()

@gardenman , I agree 100% with you! I think we've been getting the same Tracfones for the last handful of years because we've talked about them here before when we've seen them go on a good sale. I have the Samsung A15 too and I HATE it! I thought it was just me being stubborn and not getting used to it but I find it's very slow compared to my last Motorola. I also really loved so many of the features that Motorola offers, silly little things but things like the quick jestures for the camera and the flashlight, plus more that I'm sure I'm forgetting right now. I keep feeling like I should be used to this Samsung phone by now as I've had it several months but I don't enjoy using it at all. I'm going to hold onto this one for a while but I am definitely planning to go back to Motorola for my next phone. Everyone always claims Samsungs are better so I thought it was just me being difficult. Glad to know I'm not alone.
