I have a problem ,my tracfone is the only phone i have ,no landline, i did auto refill last time ,i was on phone and service ended ,so chat with someone at tracfone ,i had used all up, this is dangerous fo me ,i live alone and would panic if i were out and about and had no service,   i did auto again today ,$135.00  , seems  my service i had was good until 2019 ,but used it up, what would you do?

Exactly what you did. Your service end date stayed the same, you just needed more minutes.

My service date ends next year, but if I use up my minutes or data before then I’ll just buy more.

If you don't renew next year before your service date expires, you will lose your current phone number.

If you want to deal with Tracfone I would call & tell them what happened & you want your service days corrected on your phone.

I always right down my service days, mins, data, text that I have left so when I add airtime I know it's correct. Never had a problem.

I guess the $135 was for one of the 1 yr service cards? Look for coupons online so you can save a little money. They have $15 off that card which I just used to add time to DH's phone.

I have Tracfone. I can check my app at any time to see how many minutes are remaining.

Yes, I also have the app on my Tracfone that I can check any time to see how many minutes of text/talk/data I have remaining.  Mine is good for one year (until this August), and I don't use the phone a lot, so as long as I renew before the 1-yr expiration period, I will get another year from that date (mine renews at triple minutes).  I activated mine last August and still have plenty of time left on it.

You need to call them @goldensrbest. I see what you are saying, You were supposed to have service through next year and now it seems they decided it's already ended. I have never had this happen but the only thing I know to do is call them because there is no reason for that to have been taken away from you. I take screen shots of my information whenever I activate a new phone or whenever I need to add on to it. I also check my balances online as well because I have problems getting my app to give me current info. I always make sure I have some proof of what I am supposed to have. I hope you are able to recover your service time. That's just not right at all!

@goldensrbest, to clarify, did you run out of minutes or did they say your service days ran out earlier than they told you previously? There is no reason your service days should end early. Now, you might use up your minutes, texts or data before that service day comes, in which case you would need to get more. But if your service days themselves ran out sooner than expected, something is not right about that.

@goldensrbest I have trouble with mine too but it's because I can't figure the thing out. I'm alone too and there is no one to explain it to me. I think they have some type of auto refill which, to my understanding, means if it gets low, they refill the phone automatically by your cc on file... good luck. (I'm using my tiny old LG, lol...but it goes dead in like 2 days of non use)
