@January121  Cable remotes comes w/paperwork with a list of codes for all the manufactures/models of TVs.  Detailed instructions on how to "pair" remote w/your specific model tv.

Buttons to push, some at the same time, red lights that blink 2xs and/or 3xs, then you have to remember your tv model code.

I always print out the instructions in large print & go from there.  Easy peasy to follow.

Did you save your remote paperwork?  If not, you can get it from your cable company's website - troubleshooting section.  Or call them for hands on instructions on the phone.

Matter of fact, FIOS remotes has the instructions right on the back!  Mine had worn off.

@Mz iMac  ... thanks for the information... my remote & cable dvr is about 15 years old & the flat screen TV is about 10 years old .. my nephew set everything up when I got the tv ..... I am so bad at this stuff 😪

Re: 😬 My Sunday Boo-Boo 🥺

Sorry I wasted money paying for my replacement remotes. I'll have to try your tactic the next time I need a remote.
