We had a desktop but got rid of it.  Unless you do graphics for a living, no need for one.

I have an IPad pro but it is for reading magaines and as a supplement to the laptop.  I use the laptop at the desk sometimes and pull up documents on the IPad, but the IPad is only used for that and for reading magazines or reviewing photos.

My go-to is a Mac Air.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!  Great screen light weight, excellent keyboard.  Easy to use, boots fast, and does everything I need.

I have a desktop and ipad. Love both.

Do.not.like.laptops.

When I tried it in stores that built in pad which takes the place of the mouse drove me absolutely crazy.

I prefer a desktop with a large screen.  I currently have a 27" iMac and love it.  I also have a Macbook Pro and use it 1/3 of the time.  I haven't turned my iPad on for months and probably will never use it again.  The screen is too small and I hate mobile websites. 

You really need to decide what's best for you by how you use a computer.  For some it's a tablet, for other it's a desktop.  I'd never make a decisioin based on what other people like or use.  Good luck.

I have an iMac.  I've had laptops in the past that have acted like desktops because I never took them anywhere.  Back then, I had to worry about "exercising" the battery by unplugging the machine.  It was a pain. The iMac gives me the screen size I want (27") for certain tasks and meets my needs.

Laptop only - will never have desktop again bc the laptop is so portable.

i have a laptop and its not working very good at times. but i will keep using it until it stops working lol    I use it with a Mouse plugged in, dislike the keypad area.
