Do you mean 8GB, or 80GB? If it's 80GB, then your Win 7 operating system would have to be the 64-bit Professional version or higher.

Of course I meant 8 gb of ram. And the i7 is a 64 bit. Thank you for pointing out my obvious error.

I didn't mean my post to be snarky - I thought you were getting ripped off. I thought either they weren't giving you the right amount of RAM or else they were selling you on a point (80GB) that would be totally useless on a non-64 bit version of Windows.

I don't even think there is such a thing as 80 gb of RAM. I will research it just for fun. I will also research 80 mb of RAM, although I don't think there is any such thing as that either.

UPDATE: If anyone is still interested, it's possible to put 80 gb of RAM into a computer, but it would have to have a ridiculously huge hard drive and far more than a 64 bit processor. The rest of what I read was too highly technical for me to understand.

Let's just say for our purposes, personal computing, it is not done.

What I wrote was a mental typo. My computer has 8 mb of RAM.
