My biggest complaints are that my phone and ipad are running slower, and that I have to put in a passcode in order to be able to read my email on the outlook app.  I don't use apple pay or have anything on my devices that I care about people seeing, so I don't like to have to take the extra step to enter a passcode when I awaken my device.

So turn passcode off in settings.

This site tells you how to use the new 11.0.1 update. Excellent site for this. Just look for the part that has the update on this site if it doesn’t automatically come up. I have been using a few days and never knew a lot of this.

Click on the video and if it fast forwards through them WAIT and it will stop and then go at a regular speed as it is opens like that for some reason. Well worth checking out.

@MKR14

Thanks for this.  I watched a few minutes of the video and it looks like it really shows a lot.  I'll have to watch it in its entirety when I get more time.  I've checked out this site before when the new updates come when they have problems, but I've never checked it out in detail.

I'll have to save the link so I can go back to the video at will because there is no way I'm going to be able to remember all that!  It does look like, even from what little I watched, that the new update has some features that will help me out.

(I may have mentioned this to you in previous posts/replies, but your avatar is the absolute cutest!  Reminds me so much of my late baby girl.)

Thanks. I bet your baby girl was as beautiful as our Precious. She is 12 1/2 years old now with an enlarged heart and A-Fib and pancreatitis but doing better with her new meds. Thank God as she makes our heart beat every day with so much love. The kids and grandkids can't wait to pick her up and love her. There is something about Shih-Tzu dogs that are calming and lovable. Many pets are like this but Shih-Tzus have always tugged on my heart strings.

The 9to5 Mac site is very interesting. I am going to watch the rest of the video later as I haven't finished it yet.

Have a great day. I will give Precious a hug from you. Smiley Happy

@MKR14

I couldn't agree more!  Our little one had health problems from an early age too, but we were surprised and blessed to have her with us for fourteen years, so I hope you have your darling Precious around to love for years to come.  Every animal is special in their own way, but after almost three years and another dog later, we still miss our little munchkin so much.  I think the reason your photo gets to me so much is that I have a picture of our dog with much the same haircut and in almost the same pose.  Do give Precious a big hug for me, or more than one!

(Thanks again for the info about ios11.)

@geezerette Doubleclick on the Precious avatar and it will open larger. The canvas photo on the wall is our Muffyling which passed away at almost 14 years old. She was a

Shih-Tzu also. Just as loving.

It was 8 years after she passed away before we bought Precious. When she passes on we know she will play in Heaven with Muffyling. We will not get anymore pets but will continue to spoil our friends pets. We are too old to care for another pet and need to go do some “us”time. We always put our family and our little Shih-Tzu angels first. They always had the best and the best care available so we will be at peace about that. I took the photo in my avatar just by accident as Precious was sitting on our bed looking outside. I had a small canvas photo done of it. I will cherish that photo always. Smiley Happy

@MKR14

What a coincidence--our Phou had almost the same markings as your Precious, although she was dark brown and white, when she was a puppy.  But as she grew older she lightened up and looked almost exactly like your Muffyling!

We are in almost the same situation as yourselves.  Even before our Phou passed we decided not to get another dog for the same reasons (and others) as you said.  But after she was gone it was just so empty that I felt I had to have another dog in the house again.  I purposely got a completely different type of dog and while she is a great dog I have to admit that I should have listened to myself and not gotten another one.  So I can totally understand your position.  Enjoy your precious Precious!

Sorry to have gotten this thread off topic.  I guess it should have ended up in Pet Lovers instead!

@jaxs mom I did.  You misunderstand.  My work email that I have connected to my Outlook won’t load now unless I have the passcode turned ON.  This is something new with this update.

received notification of second update on my iPad--11.0.2.  Don't plan on downloading till they get more kinks worked out.

I always update as soon as notification appears, and there are some things I really like.

I’ve already done the 11.02 update. There are some pesky little things I’m not familiar with yet, but so far so good, for me.
