I have an AirPrinter (whatever that is) and it seems to require a lot of work to get something to print. What am I missing?
It also requires another non-Chrome computer hooked up to the printer. I've Googled and Utubed to no avail. My ACER chrombox crashed and I'm trying to reinstall things on a new ASUS chromebox. I love chrome and don't need to print a lot.
Any help would be appreciated, as long as it is in English and not techno- ese. I don't understand techno-ese.
Thanks.

@excpa, I don't know what a Chromebox is, but I have a Chromebook (2 months) and for the life of me can't get it to print using my HP Envy 5530. I can print from all my devices except my Chromebook.

Air printer is jargon for printing from apple devices to some printers that are enabled that way
google and apple don’t always play together
try searching for your printer *by its name like Epson or HP
from chrome*

Hi @excpa,
I can try and help you out, if possible. ![]()
It would help me if I knew what make and model of printer you have, though.
The more information that I have, the more that I can try and help you, or at least point you in the right direction. ![]()
For example, do you have an HP printer, model XXXX, or an Epson printer model YYYY, and so on.

@Toppers3 Thanks.
I have a Canon PIMAX MG 5620. It is installed on a ACER Aspire E 15 Windows 10 laptop. In order to print now, I have to turn on the ACER, boot up FoxFire, and turn on the printer. Then I have to boot the ASUS ChromeBox desk top, find the file I want to print in Google Docs, open it and hit Control P.
This never takes less than 5 minutes and, occassionally, runs on for so long that I need a nap. If all goes well, as it rarely does, it shows up on the Windows laptop to be printed. If I cancel the print, I have to start all over again. Because of limited space, the Chrome system, the Windows system and the Printer are not right next to each other. The ChromeBox is connected to the Ethernet and everything else is running off wi-fi. There must be an easier way.

@Jordan2 A ChromeBox is a chrome operating system installed in what is, essentially, a desk to CPU with a very small footprint. You need to supply a monitor and keyboard to make it functional, but it is the only system I have found that gives an Ethernet connection to a Chrome O/S. ACER and ASUS a make them and they are very cheap but they don't go anywhere. You cannot install a printer on to a Chrome computer directly, so you have to jump through hoops. In spite if it all, I still prefer Chrome to Windows.
