I have an iphone 6s that working for me.  I was in a T Mobile store a couple of weeks ago and the sales clerk said that he doesn't see many of them any more and that they have quit working for most people.  Mine doesn't get heavy use, so maybe that's why it still works, although the battery doesn't hold a charge like it once did.  Maybe he just wanted to sell a phone.  Anyway, the newest phone is coming out Friday and I've been looking at them.  I have sticker shock because my GD used to work for Verizon and we got deep discounts on phones.  The camera on the new phone is the selling point for me.  I know that at some point mine won't be supported any longer and maybe I'll just ride it out.  Decisions decisions.

I have an Iphone 6plus. Verizon has been my carrier for many years. I absolutely refuse to pay what they are asking for just to get the latest phone. I am no longer under contract, and my existing phone is fine, I have some problems but nothing that I can't live with.   I plan on riding it out until my current phone dies.

I have a 6plus. That salesperson was just trying to make a sale. People will say anything to sell.

I have an iPhone 6S Plus that is about 3 years old.  Works fine for me.

I recently got an email from Apple, offering me $200 for it, to put toward a new iPhone X.  I guess they had a large inventory, lol.

I don't have one but for the price you pay for them, they should last forever.  Just replace batteries.

Verizon is our carrier and DH and I still use the 1st & only mobile phones we have ever owned. They are basic LG flip phones and still work as good as the day we bought them almost 20 years ago Smiley Happy

Have original iPhone 6.  Only phone, no land line, used around the world, banged, thumped, spilled on, dropped, and highly used. Camera, text, email, calculator mapping, translation, currency converter & phone

Still going strong, battery replaced @ a year ago as it was no longer holding a charge well. Hope it lasts forever!

That's what I most likely will do.

That's for sure.  I've become so skeptical.
