I have an iPhone 8.  Have been looking at what they’ll give me in trade, for the newest model.

Yes, the camera options in the new phones, look awesome.  That’s why I’m thinking of trading up.

One of our kids has my husbands older iPhone 6.  It works....just depends what you want.

Apple will give you $300 trade in value for the 11, no matter the storage amount.  That drops the price down to $399 which is a sweet deal.

iPhone 6 plus here too and still working OK.  No longer have a land line so it's an essential for me.  Still holding a charge pretty well but I do thing it's time to  upgrade.  I used to uprade every two years but the 6 pluse has been a terrific phone that I hesitated to change.  My plan is to wait until all the crazyness that surrounds a new launch and the holiday rush is over and I can get help making sure everything transfers seamlessly to my new phone.  Verizon is my carrier and I am happy with the service.

The price of the new iPhones is sweet. The basic phone is less than last year's.

Most folks in this thread are Verizon customers. The company will offer you a promotion. I got an email offering me a deal on Samsung S10. I waiting for  a deal on a Note 10.

You will probably get a email offer, expect one. Black Friday is coming. VZW may even have a pop up sale.

I just replaced an iPhone 6+ with iPhone XR.  I had the 6+ for close to six years.  Loved that phone.  The battery became an issue and it is my only phone so I decided to get the XR.

What I like about the XR is that the screen is larger but the overall size is smaller than the 6+.

I bought mine at the Apple Store.  They did a really hard sell for Apple Care and based the hard sell in the fact that the screen and back are glass.  I did not opt for it.  LM

"I phone" only when I'm stretched out on the sofa with a mug of coffee and some other necessities.    My house (cable) phone works for that and it is a dirt cheap add-on feature of my cable and internet package.    I have a Tracfone in the car in case of flat tire or dead battery.......(!!)

Re: How old is your iphone?

I don't own an iphone, would never own an iphone. I have a Pixel 2XL. LOVE it and its camera! It takes superior pictures, which is a very important option for me on my phone.

I have a 6s also. Works fine. I spend too much time on Twitter and often think about getting a larger phone but my phone still can fit in my pocket.
