I received a LG Treasure TracFone for Christmas.
What are the settings I need to turn on or turn off for the longest battery life? A few have been discussed here but I ddid not have one so I don't remember them.
I only want WiFi at home. Where do you turn it off/on?
Please advise me of your Tracfone improvements facts that you have learned. TIA
P.S. Do I want to download the Alexa app if I have it on my Kindle?

If you can see the Settings icon, click on it. The second thing you see when you open it is the wifi on off. Turn it on. Skip downward on this page past Bluetooth. You will se Mobile data. TURN THIS OFF.

If you can see the Settings icon, click on it. The second thing you see when you open it is the wifi on off. Turn it on. Skip downward on this page past Bluetooth. You will se Mobile data. TURN THIS OFF. YOU WILL NEED YOUR HOME NETWORK PASSWORD TO TURN WIFI ON IN YOUR HOME. There is also a place to choose whether you want to phone on auto wifi or if you want to manually select where you will use wifi. There are two ways to open the phone. Clicking on. The back of the phone or tapping twice on the front glass. There is a battery and power saving choice to open in the settings. There's also a battery icon on the home page and a secon icon on the page called battery saver. You can select to save 15% here as well. You can choose to reduce your power use for longer lasting time between charging. If you don't want your phone to keep going to black screen there is a place in the settings. Look at Display. Go to Screen Timeout. Here you can choose how long you want your phone to stay lit. You can also go to Sound and Notification, then on to Volume, to change how loud you want the phone go ring or your text message notifications to be. You can change how loud you want your music or audio volume to go...for example; you want to hear a YouTube video louder. You can set this up here. I suggest you try looking at each item inside Settings. There are many choices there. You can choose your favorite ringtones and even the font on your desktop. You can choose not to set up email on this phone and save a ton of data. You still will get your email on your other devices.
To see all your apps when you turn on the phone, sweep your finger to the left.

Thank you so much for this information. I now have a smartphone, a Kindle, a HP laptop and a desktop. Never seen so many different icons!
Can't figure out why I need a clock on all of these when the time is on the front of any/all of them all the time! LOL
Is there a way to delete icons you know you won't use?
Thanks again. For now, it will be my phone, who knows what it will be down the road.....
