@Jstlkhvn, am I mistaken, or did post in another thread that is since missing, that QVC has offered to replace the computer?

@Etoile308 - I'd be interested to know that, too, since so many have tried to help.

@Venezia I believe the OP bumped a thread from 2021 and tacked on the comments to that HP computer complaint and I believe stated then that QVC offered to replace it.

QVC offered a replacement. It is mentioned at the beginning of the the 5th-ish paragraph. OP doesn't have a box big enough to send it back.

@Jstlkhvn , it sounds like the computer, itself, says HP on it? But HP is saying it is absolutely not? So QVC sold you a fake, intentionally or not. As suggested you need to go over basic CS heads. In the meantime research which organization you will be reporting it to if you don't get a box to send it back in, your money back and UPS will show up at our door to get it. I would not take a replacement and I would not buy another one from them. Clearly whoever they are buying from is selling them fake stuff. If QVC seems to brush it off with an oh well kind of thing that is alarming and means they know darn good and well they sell are selling fake stuff.
Check out all your basic stores for a computer; they have sales all the time.

@Jstlkhvn , I just went to see which computer it was and I think it is you who gave a great review of it. If you really want to catch the Q's attention go ahead and add a new review with this info that HP says it is actually not an HP and the warranty is worthless.

Lots of places sell boxes. The local Post Office is the first place to start. I find the entire story hard to believe since companies like HP have their logos right on the computer. It's also been my experience on this board for years, long involved rants against QVC tend to be fraudulent and a way for people to vent.

@Tori3569Good advice. Let me add one more thing. I would NEVER buy ANY computer (new OR refurbished) from ANY TV Shopping Channel. You're flying blind and that can come back to haunt you.
Apple has refurbished computers it sells after it does the refurbishing. There us a warranty and you can buy Apple Care. Other manufacturers might also sell their refurbished computers. You've gotta check the websites and/or call the "800" number and find out.
You should buy computers ONLY from the manufacturer's website or from a reputable seller. Any other source leaves you on you own.

The HP computer was almost certainly originally an HP computer. Companies like HP don't generally refurbish their own stuff. Other companies like Blair Technology Group (and others) do the refurbishing and handle warranty and tech support issues. They slap their own serial number on the computer instead of HP's.
To HP a refurbished computer no longer exists even though they originally made it unless you buy it directly from them. For newer computers, HP may buy them back from the refurbisher, but even then they'll sometimes use the refurbisher for warranty and tech support.
A close examination of the computer and paperwork that came with it should help to identify the refurbisher and give you the necessary contact information. Without the original HP serial number, which refurbishers are often required to remove, the computer doesn't exist to HP.
Refurbishing computers is a multi-billion dollar industry these days. And there are lots of companies refurbishing them. To the buyer it's an HP computer, but to HP it's not. Somewhere in the paperwork that came with the refurb should be a way to contact the refurbisher. They're the people responsible for warranty and tech support on refurbished products.
And rather than deal with tech support at all, it's typically easier to Google your issue to find a solution. If it's a common issue the answer will be online. If it's not a common issue, tech support would be unlikely to be able to help you anyway. They typically know less than Google.
