For Android newbies....the easter egg

OK, it doesn't do anything more than (hopefully) make you smile, but still.

Go into system settings, about phone, and get to where it shows the Android version.  Quickly tap on it, I think it's the same number of times as the version is, and watch.  Then tap on what you see and then long press on that.

If you need it, videos on youtube show how.

You're right - it did make me smile!  Woman Happy

I never take the time to search for things like that but, when I read your post, I just had to check it out.  Thanks for the tip!

I'm glad!  I think it's fun and a lot of people don't know about it.  I was watching a video comparing Android versions and the guy matter of factly said "oh and here's where you press the number of time as the version to get the animation" and I was like wait, what???? LOL

Were you able to get it?  You have to tap very quickly.  My instruction weren't great.

For anyone interested it's

system settings

about phone

software information

android version

That's for the LG 39c.  It may vary a bit for different phones.  I showed someone on a Galaxy and the route was different to get to the android version.  But it worked.
