Fake Itunes Update

Just an FYI.  I received a popup menu to update my Itunes.  I never had a problem in the past but this was clearly a scam.  It changed some of the info on my favorites bar.  Ultimately, my computer rejected the update because some information didn’t match.  I ran a virus scan right away.  I’ve researched and couldn’t find any information about it but thought I’d warn anyone to be careful before downloading Itunes updates.  This one popped up without me going into Itunes so that may be the key to watch for.    I believe I don’t normally receive the popup message until I log into Itunes.

I always get my iTune updates on the screen. Never had a problem with any. It never hurts to be cautious if you feel it is a scam though.
