I downloaded High Sierra recently on my MacBook Air. Photos has changed. I usually have pictures printed for me but sometimes print them myself. They always turn out great when I print them. Since the new Photos program, my pictures look awful. I tried printing two new ones and even played around with adjusting the light and color after they didn't print well. Then I printed one that I already had a good copy of, and it didn't look the same at all. My couch, which is taupe, looks terrible, and everything looks very dark. When I lightened as light as it would go it still looks awful.
Is there a trick to using the new Photos that I haven't discovered. I haven't done anything in the past but crop my photos, and the prints turn out well. I'm very frustrated. There is nothing wrong with my Canon printer, and l don't need to change the ink.

Hello NickNack
I have not met any printing issues since I downloaded High Sierra on my Macs.
Please head to Apple support ( https://support.apple.com/contact) and choose Talk To Us. Yo will be able to chat with an expert and solve your problem.
Apple is a great company with very intelligent and well informed people, all based here in America.

Thanks @Dinaki. I'll do that!
Edited to say: Do I have to have Apple Care to get support from them? I don't want to pay for this help. I've tried Googling this question and will try again.

@NickNack, while I was at the Apple store last week I noticed they had classes on editing photos. I don't think you need Apple care for that. If you have an Apple store close maybe this is something to check you. LM

Thanks @Lilysmom. Editing isn't the problem. It's the way they print when I haven't touched them at all. There's just something wrong.

I don't use Photos and I don't print my photos but, I'm going back to Sierra due to other problems. I've owned my iMac and Macbook Pro since 2013 and this is the only update where my computers are not working right. If you can't find a solution, restore from a backup you made prior to updating to High Seirra. Be sure to save everything added since that backup was created before proceeding.

I may have to do that @glb613. This is very frustrating.

Big updates can drive you a bit crazy and cause all kinds of trouble. I think Microsoft was very smart moving away from the new operating system every few years and just doing relatively minor tweaks to Windows 10. By staying within the Windows 10 ecosystem they pretty much eliminate the big headaches. I expect to hear Apple adopt that policy in the not too distant future. Modern operating systems do pretty much everything it's possible to do these days, so why change them? Add features here and there as needed, upgrade when necessary, but why start from scratch every few years?

This really wasn't a big update at all. Regardless of the fact that they gave it a name.
