@software wrote:i3 processor?? No wonder it's such a good deal. I have a Toshiba that's probably 8 years old, maybe more. it has i3.
Good for you!! For what I use the computer for that's plenty for me considering i don't store photos, I have no need to Microsoft Office, I only use the computer for email and internet shopping and just researching things. So an i3 processor is more then enough for me. It's still a great deal as far as I'm concerned. This setup totally meets my needs and then some.

I wanted to buy this but, I realized that it does not have a touch screen .... I am hoping HP will have a TSV with touch screen around the holidays ... today's TSV was a great buy even though the printer isn't that great!! 😄

This is the 6th generation I3 and it just came out end of last year. I have an I7 quad core currently and it is 5 years old, but it is the first generation I7 released in 2011. There have been numerous updates to it over the past 5 years. There is a big difference between the original I3 and the current 6th generation I3 that is on the TSV.

When I want to know how well a processor works, I use a benchmark list.

Yes, they did say that in the presentation. I took that to mean a "new & improved" version"

I've returned all kinds of electronics to Amazon, including PC's, tablets, etc.

If you have a windows 7 PC around, compare the start menu with the one in windows 10. I prefer the one in windows 7. Also - Classic shell allows you to change the look of the program that lists files, eg, documents, downloads. Again, I prefer the look in windows 7. Yes - you can put icons in the task bar, but I missed things like "recent items" in my start menu which I use a lot.
